Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the name of the world's worst oil exploration company, which was merging with the world's largest funeral company?

Answer: Dry Hole Industries

In the news report, the oil company CEO said that the biggest problem with the funeral industry was finding land, and since they had all those holes in the ground already ...

The investment banker who arranged the merger got a fee of $1 billion, which of course inspired Dogbert.
2. How much extra money did Dilbert's company have?

Answer: $20,000,000,000

After Dilbert's suggestion to use the money reward the employees (and Loud Howard's idea to use it to develop a product to keep your filling from vibrating out of your mouth when you talk), the PHB took Asok's suggestion to merge with a less dis-functional company and let them invest the money.
3. Alice has cobuyitaphobia. What does she fear?

Answer: Synergy

Alice runs screaming from the room whenever she hears the word "synergy", much like most of the administrative employees do (since their jobs are the first to go in a merger).
4. What project did Wally plan to put into action during the merger?

Answer: Project Mosquito

Project Mosquito was Wally's plan to take advantage of management chaos and suck the stockholders dry. Dilbert noted that this was very similar to Project Leech, which Wally was doing all the time already.
5. What did Dogbert claim was the key to any successful merger?

Answer: Synergy

After Alice fled the meeting, it was decided that what made their company special was that they were losers. The best ideas for companies to merge with were drug companies (to use the employees as lab rats), companies that manage women's prisons (for the prison bimbos), companies that make chickens (since they already sit all day, they might as well be sitting on eggs) and alternative fuel companies (to harness the methane gas they make every day).
6. What was the name of the company with which Dilbert's company tried to merge?

Answer: Brainsuck Industries

Brainsuck Industries only came into existence two days earlier. The CEO and all the employees were space aliens who needed brains to survive.

F.Y.I., Path-e-Tech Industries was the name of Dilbert's own company, as mentioned in a previous episode.
7. What was Wally's new job during the synergy of the merger?

Answer: Door-watching troll

Catbert made Wally his new door troll after the old one died. He also said that he'd offer to fire his entire administrative staff (including Wally) so he would be rewarded for loyalty by the new company with his own job.
8. According to the Dilmom, in Dilbert's dysfunctional work family, who was the annoying uncle?

Answer: Loud Howard

Asok was the son Dilbert never had, Wally and Alice were his siblings, and the PHB was a stand-in for his missing father (who was still at the all-you-can-eat restaurant in the mall).
9. What was the name of the bar that Dogbert took Dilbert and the PHB to to try to arrange the merger?

Answer: Senor Management Bar and Grill

Dilbert was brought along to look like there was already interest in the company. Unfortunately, the PHB looked too desperate and eventually the only CEO left was the one from Brainsuck Industries.
10. Why did the merger fail?

Answer: The CEO died of starvation

Dilbert, hoping to keep his dysfunctional work family together, took the CEO of Brainsuck up to the marketing department, (where he died of starvation on a full stomach).

Dogbert still got his fee, and reinvested it in Brainsuck Industries, which went to the world of Orgapon VI to start sucking brains again.
