Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When Jack absconds to Hollywood, what name does he use?

Answer: Mr. Trick

Jack has always been a schemer, and he sets himself up as a bigshot movie-maker in Hollywood! He founds a production company and begins making movies based off of his own life. This happened in "Fables" #34, which went on sale in 2005.
2. Why does Jack buy doll houses?

Answer: To give Jill a place to live

To a regular-sized human they may be dollhouses, but to a small Fable like Jill, who accompanied Jack on his escape to Hollywood, they're dream mansions. Despite her many houses, Jill is depressed, but Jack ignores her mood. Jack spent his money on the dream house in "Fables" #34, which debuted in 2005.
3. Who ends Jack's Hollywood career?

Answer: Beast and Jill

Tired of the way Jack has been treating her, Jill rats him out to the sheriff of Fabletown, Beast, who promptly arrives to tell Jack that it's all over. Enraged, Jack dares him to fight, saying "Try to throw down with me and I'll mop the floor with you!" Of course, this makes Beast transform from his human form to his scarier Beast form.

The two met up again in "Fables" #35, which went on sale in 2005.
4. What food does Ogren find unpalatable?

Answer: Chicken

"Thought I was gonna die!" says the goblin as he and his army buddy Throk travel through the woods. Ogren sees a human woman behind his wife's back, which is where he experienced chicken in the first place. Ogren complains in "Fables" #36, which went on sale in 2005.
5. What piece of equipment did Boy Blue NOT take when he invaded the Homelands?

Answer: The Seven-League Boots

Cutting a wide swath of destruction over the woods and through several thousand foot soldiers, Boy Blue comes to be known and feared as the Black Knight, even though he is really dressed in blue. The Vorpal Sword can cut through anything, the Witching cloak provides excellent armor, teleportation and transformation ability, and it is with these pieces of equipment that Boy Blue invades the Homelands. Blue started his campaign of guerilla warfare in "Fables" #36, which debuted in 2005.
6. How does Boy Blue find out that Baba Yaga's alive?

Answer: Bright Day keeps talking even after being beheaded

"That's more than a bit disturbing!" exclaims Boy Blue when he sees that Day's head still talks even after being seperated from his body. If Baba Yaga was really dead, the knight would have ceased to exist the minute the fatal blow was struck. Boy Blue learns in "Fables" #37, which went on sale in 2005.
7. When does Boy Blue attack the Emperor?

Answer: Petition Day

Petition Day is the one day when everyone in the Homelands knows where the Emperor will be: listening to his subjects ask him to grant their wish. Blue dresses as a peasant sweeping the floor in front of the Emperor and then attacks, beheading the monstrous fiend, but is imprisoned and brought to the real power behind the throne. Blue became a killer in "Fables" #38, which debuted in 2005.
8. Who is the Adversary?

Answer: Gepetto

Heartbroken over the loss of Pinocchio, Gepetto used his carving and puppetry skills to make a number of loyal sons and daughters. It wasn't long before his creations, with the help of the Blue Fairy's magic, were taking the place of governors and generals. Soon, Gepetto had become the cruel and tyrannical Adversary, as seen in "Fables" #38, which debuted in 2005.
9. Where has Mowgli spent most of his time?

Answer: Baghdad

Mowgli was employed by Bigby, and later by Beast, to travel the world and keep an eye on the Fables that choose to live abroad. Mowghli first appeared in "Fables" #40, which went on sale in 2005.
10. What phrase helped Boy Blue escape?

Answer: "Big Walter Horton!"

After he beheads the Emperor, Boy Blue is trapped in a block of ice and held prisoner in Gepetto's cabin. Encased in a cage, Blue has to recite a code phrase he had set beforehand in order to escape back to Fabletown. Blue's journey came to an end in "Fables" #41, which went on sale in 2005.
