Leonard and Sheldon from "The Big Bang Theory" live in Pasadena, California.

On "Friends", Joey and Chandler (Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry) often fight like a married couple but usually make up quickly. They remain roommates for most of the series until Chandler marries Monica (Courteney Cox).

Felix and Oscar (Tony Randall and Jack Klugman) were total opposites. Both men were divorced and Felix moves in with Oscar when his wife throws him out. Felix is somewhat neurotic and a perfectionist neat freak while Oscar is lazy, messy and carefree. Their lifestyles often cause them to fight but the two always remain friends.

On "Will & Grace", Will (Eric McCormack) is a gay man who lives with his best friend Grace (Debra Messing). Will and Grace are also opposites. Will is high strung while Grace is more relaxed. Their relationship often causes tension with their romantic partners, who often feel like Will and Grace put each other first.

Nero Wolfe is the creation of Rex Stout. He lived in New York City and was known for his enormous weight. His cook, Fritz, often prepared him extravagantly gourmet meals which was the only food Wolfe would eat. He also grew prize-winning orchids in his house. Wolfe was also known for almost never leaving his home as he preferred comfort to doing the legwork.

The physical work was almost always done by Archie Goodwin, Wolfe's much younger and handsome assistant who often wooed attractive women.

"NYPD Blue" was known for its ensemble cast that frequently changed throughout the season. It was also known for its dramatic plotlines and sex scenes. The most prominent character was Andy Sipowicz (Dennis Franz), a recovering alcoholic and police detective.

Other characters were Arthur Fancy (James McDaniel), an African-American detective who was often the victim of racist schemes and plots, Bobby Simone (Jimmy Smits), Sipowicz's second partner and Diane Russell (Kim Delaney), another detective and romantic partner to Simone.

Fran was forced to sell makeup door-to-door until she was mistaken for a nanny applicant for Maxwell Sheffield (Charles Shaughnessy), a Broadway producer. Chrissie Watkins is the woman who was skinny dipping at the beginning of the novel "Jaws" and is the shark's first victim. "Jaws" takes place in the seaside town of Amity. Jaws, as he is popular called by readers, is a great white shark who has killed several people.

However, the town's leaders a reluctant to close the beaches, fearing a drop in tourism during the summer, and the shark attacks are hushed up. Police Chief Matt Brody assembles a crew to find, capture and kill the shark before he claims any more victims.
