Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Dubbing bandore?

Answer: The Pink Panther

The following quote I found probably explains best that of who 'The Pink Panther' is: "Silent, rose-pink-colored, animated feline who made his debut in the 1964 movie 'The Pink Panther!' The panther often matched wits with humans and always managed to escape unharmed but not before leaving turmoil in his wake."
2. Decagon tea hut?

Answer: The Cat in the Hat

Did you know that 'The Cat in the Hat' is a female cat? I didn't until making this quiz. But anyways, for those who may not already know, she's a famous novel figure who was created by Dr. Seuss.
3. Flecks decaf?

Answer: Felix the Cat

Felix the Cat was created by Otto Messmer and was the very first cartoon star that was created and developed for the screen. An all black cat, Felix first appeared on-screen in 1919 in a short film entitled "Feline Follies." Though Felix was created by Messmer, he was continued into fame, with Messmer's consent, by Joe Oriolo and became a syndicated television cartoon by the end of the 1950's. Felix is still quite a popular cartoon cat even to this very day.
4. Heave cleft?

Answer: Heathcliff

Some may remember Heathcliff as a stylish cat who often liked to wear a black leather jacket and sunglasses. He was created as a newspaper comic by George Gately in 1973 and was later turned into an animated TV show. Some may even suggest that of the ever-popular Garfield as being Heathcliff's rival cartoon cat for he has so many times been compared to and/or possibly mistaken as good ol' Garfield.
5. Cartwheeled?

Answer: Garfield

Garfield could very well be said to possibly be the most popular of all cartoon cats. He's mostly known for being extremely lazy as well as having a very hefty appetite, especially when it comes to that of lasagna. He was created by Jim Davies and first appeared in 1978. Jon is the name of the cartoon character who is Garfield's owner, whom also owns Odie, the family pet dog, that Garfield just loves to play evilish tricks on.
6. Duchess higher chat?

Answer: The Cheshire Cat

The Cheshire Cat is from the Walt Disney animated movie of "Alice in Wonderland," which is based on a novel written by Lewis Carroll. He's most known for his famous cheshire grin of which is best described by this thought from Alice of "Alice in Wonderland": "Well, I've often seen a cat without a grin; but a grin without a cat! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in all my life!"
7. Taupe khat?

Answer: Top Cat

"'Top Cat' (also known for awhile as 'Boss Cat' in the United Kingdom) was a Hanna-Barbera cartoon which premiered in 1961 and ran for 30 episodes. The show remains one of the studio's most enduring creations. Its central character, Top Cat-his friends call him TC-is the leader of a gang of Manhattan alley cats: Fancy Fancy, Spook, Benny, Brain, and Choo Choo.

There are distinct resemblances to the popular US sit-com 'The Phil Silvers Show' (on which the cartoon is said to have been loosely based) in the relationships between the characters.

A frequent plotline revolved around the local patrolman, Officer Dibble, and his ineffective attempts to evict the gang. In the United Kingdom, the show was renamed 'Boss Cat' (by means of a crudely substituted title card) when it was first aired on BBC1 because 'Top Cat' was the name of a brand of cat food. Of course, the dialogue still referred to the character by his original name."
8. Palm?

Answer: Tom

Tom is from the cat and mouse duo of "Tom and Jerry." Tom's full name is simply: Thomas Cat. There is so much history as to the status of this famous cartoon duo that I found the following to seem to explain it or clarify it best: "The career of Tom and Jerry was a slightly rocky one. Tom and Jerry began it's life at MGM cartoon division in 1940.

The show went into cartoon limbo in 1957 when MGM shut down it's cartoon division. The show was revived again by MGM in 1961. Chuck Jones gave the show a facelift in 1963 when he was hired to animate the series. MGM then killed the show in 1967 with the belief that there was no future in theatrical cartoons.

However, the story doesn't end there! In 1975, Hanna-Barbera brought the show back to life for another 2 year run! The show was given another facelift. Now Tom and Jerry were friends in response to the worry that all those Saturday morning cartoons were too violent.

In 1989, Tom and Jerry were given yet another facelift by Hanna-Barbera.

This time they were recreated as kids and a new generation was given the privilege of watching the antics of Tom and Jerry. Despite all the facelifts that the Tom and Jerry show received, they did retain one very familiar trait; Tom and Jerry never spoke! They did make sounds, but they didn't speak, at least not until 1992. In 1992, 'Tom and Jerry: The Movie' was released in theatres, and for the first time in their lives, Tom and Jerry spoke."
9. Selva store?

Answer: Sylvester

Sylvester made his first television debut in 1945 in "Life with Feathers." He's the Looney Tunes cartoon cat most known for his famous saying of "Sufferin' succotash!," and for his persistent antics in trying to catch Looney Tunes' Tweety-bird who always seems to think and say "I tawt I taw a puddy-tat!"
10. Stampede?

Answer: Stimpy

Created by John Kricfalusi, Stimpy's full name is Stimpson J. Cat. He's from the cartoon series entitled "Ren and Stimpy," of which can be seen on the 'Nickelodeon' television station. Ren is a chihuahua dog who is Stimpy's best friend. Stimpy is a cheerful fat red cat who's motto is simply "Happy happy, joy joy!"

Thanks for playing, I hope you enjoyed it.
