1. What is The Honky Tonk Man's given birth name?

Answer: Roy Wayne Farris

GRoy was born on January 25, 1953 in Bolivar, Tennessee. Farris attended and graduated from the University of Memphis. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Before Roy started wrestling, he coached football at Munford High School in Tennessee.

In the early years of his wrestling career, Honky would wrestle under his real name. He used the name "Honky Tonk" Wayne Farris in the Stampede Wrestling area. It was not until he joined the then WWF that he became the Honky Tonk Man.
2. Who was Honky's tag team partner in "The Blonde Bombers"?

Answer: Larry Latham

Larry and "Dynamite" Wayne, as he was known at the time were a highly successful and decorated team. The pair held the AWA Southern Tag Team Championship on three occasions. They first defeated the team of Jerry Lawler and Bill Dundee for the belts on June 15, 1979. "The Blond Bombers" would also hold the NWA Mid-America Tag Team Championship on three different occasions as well. Larry Latham would later adopt the ring name of Moondog Spot.

He used that name until be passed away from a heart attack in the squared circle.
3. What tag team did Honky Tonk Man and Greg Valentine wrestle against at "Wrestlemania 5"?

Answer: The Hart Foundation

Valentine and Honky were managed by Jimmy Hart. They took on Hart's former wrestlers, Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart as part of "Wrestlemania 5". The Hart Foundation were now considered "faces" and were beloved by the fans. This was the tenth bout on the wrestling program. Bret clobbered Honky with Jimmy Hart's megaphone while the referee was distracted.

This knocked Honky out cold making him an easy cover for the victory. "The Hart Foundation" were still not above using illegal tactics to win bouts. "Wrestlemania 5" was held on April 2nd, 1989 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
4. Who did the Honky Tonk Man defeat for the WWF Intercontinental Title?

Answer: Ricky Steamboat

Rick was known as "The Dragon"; he had defeated Randy Savage at "Wrestlemania 3" two months earlier. Their match was considered one of the best bouts for the Intercontinental Championship. Ricky defended the belt until June 2nd, 1987 when he lost to the Honky Tonk Man. Honky seemed just as shocked as everyone else at his title victory.

It was considered by many a huge upset that Ricky lost to Honky. As of April of 2014, Honky Tonk Man has had the longest reign as Intercontinental Champion. He held the belt for a total of 454 days.

He would lose the belt to The Ultimate Warrior on August 29, 1988.
5. What tag team title did Honky hold on one occasion with Ron Starr?

Answer: NWA Southeastern Tag Team Championship

Farris and Starr were collectively known as "Devastation, Inc.". They defeated Brad and Scott Armstrong in November of 1983. The titles were vacated in December when Starr left the territory. The titles were renamed the CWF Tag Team Championship in 1988. "The Midnight Express", Dennis Condrey, Randy Rose, and Novell Austin held the titles a record ten times. Farris and Starr also held the Stampede Wrestling International Tag Team Titles three times.
6. What city did Honky win the Stampede Wrestling North American Heavyweight Championship in?

Answer: Calgary

Roy was known as "Honky Tonk" Wayne Farris in the Stampede area. He would defeat Bad News Allen on June 20th, 1986. Honky would never loss the title as it was considered vacated. Wayne left for the WWF in August of that year. Bad News Allen had held the Stampede Wrestling North American Heavyweight Championship on a total of four different occasions before his final loss to Honky. Calgary is the largest city in Alberta.

It was first established in 1875. Stampede Wrestling was owned and operated by Stu Hart, father of Bret and Owen. Stu sold the territory to Vince McMahon in 1984.
7. What was Honky Tonk Man's finishing maneuver?

Answer: Swinging Neckbreaker

Honky would finish off his opponent with the Shake, Rattle and Roll. In the case of his Intercontinental Title defenses, he would usually win those bouts by count out or disqualification. He would also rely heavily on illegal tactics and outside interference from his manager, Jimmy Hart or his stable mates.

When Honky would use the finishing maneuver it was basically a swinging neckbreaker with him embellishing the maneuver.
8. In what interview segment, did Honky Tonk Man attack Jake Roberts?

Answer: The Snake Pit

Jake "The Snake" Roberts had his own talk show segment. It was designed to look like the interior of a cave. The Honky Tonk Man and Jimmy Hart were Jake's guest on this segment. Honky was afraid of Damien, Jake's snake. Jake kept taunting Honky with the snake during the entire segment. Jake chased Honky and Jimmy off the set with Damien.

While Jake's back was turned, Honky sneaked back on he set. He hit Jake over top of the head and then battered him with his guitar. Honky threw his guitar on to Jake after the attack was over.
9. What music video did Honky Tonk Man appear in while in the WWF?

Answer: Piledriver

Honky along with Jimmy Hart were driving their car through a construction site. Jimmy sat in the backseat and was playing the guitar. Bam Bam Bigelow and "Superstar" Billy Graham among other personalities from wrestling starred in the video as construction workers.

They were upset that Honky was driving through their site disrupting their job. Honky drove his car and was stopped by Hulk Hogan. Hogan chased Honky and Jimmy Hart off the site. Koko B. Ware sang the lyrics to the song. The video appeared on MTV in the 1980s.
10. What city was the Honky Tonk Man billed from?

Answer: Memphis

Honky was billed from hailing from Memphis, Tennessee. It was part of his in-ring persona of being an Elvis Presley impersonator. Honky would wear these flashy jumpsuits to the ring over his wrestling tights. He would often dance like Elvis before his bouts would begin. Honky even had his manager, Jimmy Hart called "Colonel" during their time together.
