Ayla is the twin sister to Lightning Lad. She originally tried to take his place by disguising herself as her brother, during a period after he had been killed in battle. Once the charade was revealed, she was given the name Lightning Lass.

Ayla was with both her brothers when they were all caught in the electric force charge from the creatures which resided on Korbal.
