Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who is the only cop in Fabletown?

Answer: Bigby Wolf

Bigby Wolf is the villainous Big Bad Wolf in human form. All of his misdeeds were forgiven by the general amnesty, and he has been a cop for more than two hundred years. When provoked, he can still turn into a large humanoid wolf. He first appeared in the first issue of "Fables", which went on sale in 2002.
2. Who is the mayor of Fabletown during the trade paperback "Legends in Exile"?

Answer: Old King Cole

"Old King Cole was a merry old soul,
And a merry old soul was he!
He called for his pipe, and he called for his bowl
And he called for his fiddlers three."

Mayor Cole is helped by his second-in-command, Snow White. He is eventually replaced as mayor by Prince Charming, and becomes an ambassador to some Arabic-speaking Fables. He first appears in "Fables" #3, which went on sale in 2002.
3. To whom was Rose Red engaged?

Answer: Bluebeard

A violent nobleman who nonetheless supported Fabletown financially, Bluebeard had a tendency to murder his wives on their wedding night. He and Rose Red were secretly engaged, but it was all a ploy by Rose Red and Jack Horner to gain a lot of money with little effort and little time. Bluebeard first appeared in "Fables" #2, which debuted in 2002.
4. Who is the janitor for Woodland, the "city hall" of Fabletown?

Answer: Flycatcher

Flycatcher was once a prince named Ambrose, who transformed into a frog whenever he was scared, nervous, or excited. A kiss from his wife was all that was needed to revert him to his human form, but the Adversary's forces killed his entire family, shattering Flycatcher's mind. He now works as a janitor and was first seen in "Fables" #1, which debuted in 2002.
5. Who occasionally crashes at Bigby's apartment?

Answer: One of the three little pigs

This arrangement greatly vexes Bigby, who sees the pig as a slacker. As a non-human Fable, the pigs must live on "The Farm", which is in upstate New York. As a final insult, Bigby serves the pig breakfast; ham and eggs are on the menu! These events happened in "Fables" #2, which debuted in 2002.
6. In Bigby's eyes, who is not a suspect in the murder of Rose Red?

Answer: The Beast

Bigby Wolf is suspicious of Bluebeard, Rose's fiancee, Jack, Rose's ex-boyfriend, and Snow White, Rose's sister. He is not suspicious of the Beast, a prince who shifts back and forth from his beast form to his human form. The Beast and his wife, Beauty, first appeared in "Fables" #1, which debuted in 2002.
7. Who is assigned to re-create the crime scene?

Answer: Flycatcher and Boy Blue

Bigby assigns Flycatcher and Boy Blue to re-create the crime scene in order to determine how much blood was actually spilled. Although they run into some difficulties, Bigby determines that enough blood was let to kill a normal woman. This action took place in "Fables" #3, which debuted in 2002.
8. Who attacks Jack Horner while he is in prison?

Answer: Bluebeard

Bluebeard attempts to torture Jack while the latter is imprisoned for Rose Red's murder. Bigby turns into a humanoid wolf and stops Bluebeard in time, and the bald killer takes Jack's place in the cell. These events happened the third issue of "Fables", which debuted in 2002.
9. Who is auctioning off his land and titles?

Answer: Prince Charming

Prince Charming sought to become rich by selling his land and titles in a lottery during Remembrance Day. Jack won the lottery, and he only had to win one ticket! These events happened in "Fables" #4, which went on sale in 2002.
10. Was Rose Red really dead?

Answer: No

Rose and Jack Horner conspired to fake her death in order to escape the wrath of Bluebeard, who had loaned them money they were unable to repay. At Remembrance Day, Rose was discovered by the intrepid Bigby Wolf. These events took place in "Fables" #5, which debuted in 2002.
