Answer: Hadleyville

The name of the town where Marshall Kane, played by Gary Cooper, fought Frank Miller and his gang is never mentioned in the film. A large sign with the town's name is seen on the wall of the railroad station. Actor Lee Van Cleef played a member of Miller's gang. Van Cleef, who went on to star as "the Bad" in "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly" did not have a single word of dialogue.
2. We all know that, "...but for the courage of the fearless crew, the "Minnow" would be lost..." Bob Denver played the title role in "Gilligan's Island", and Alan Hale, Jr. was the Skipper. What was the Skipper's first name?

Answer: Jonas

Jonas Grumby was the skipper of the charter boat "The Minnow" that was caught in a storm, and shipwrecked on an "uncharted desert isle".
The Skipper and Gilligan were stranded along with Roy, Mary Ann, Thurston, Lovey and Ginger.
3. Peter Gunn was a suave, well-dressed private eye in a television series of the same name. He hung out in a club where his girlfriend Edie Hart was a singer. What was the name of the club?

Craig Stevens starred as the suave and well-dressed detective on the series "Peter Gunn." Lola Albright played Pete's romantic interest, Edie. With a classy soundtrack by Henry Mancini, the debonair Gunn was a new breed of private eye.
4. The film's theme song declared, "...the man who shot Liberty Valance... he was the bravest of them all...". This was not true, as he was killed by a hidden gunman while engaged in a gunfight with another man. Who killed Liberty Valance?

Answer: Tom Doniphon

In director John Ford's classic, "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance", attorney Ransom Stoddard, played by James Stewart, is given credit for killing the evil villain Liberty Valance, played by Lee Marvin. After many years of fame and success in politics, U.S. Senator Ransom Stoddard reveals that it was Tom Doniphon, played by John Wayne, who actually shot Valance, who was about to kill Stoddard in a very one-sided gunfight. Peabody was the editor of the town newspaper and was played by Edmund O'Brien. Actor John Carradine played the role of Cassius Starbuckle.

Actor Dick Powell had played the role of the charming Richard Diamond on a 1950s radio program. When asked to do the television series, Powell felt that he was too old, and suggested the young David Janssen for the part.

The other four members of 1960's "The Magnificent Seven" went on to become big movie and television stars. Steve McQueen went on to star in over 20 major motion pictures before his death from lung cancer in 1980 at the age of 50. Two became super-spies. Robert Vaughn was Napoleon Solo in television's "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.", and James Coburn played Derek Flint in the films "Our Man Flint" and "In Like Flint". Charles Bronson starred in four "Death Wish" films.

The piano player Sam immortalized the song "As Time Goes By" in the 1942 classic film. Wilson did not know how to play the piano, so an empty piano shell was utilized in filming the scenes at "Rick's Cafe Americaine". The actual music was provided by a piano player out of the camera's range. Wilson received $3,500 for his efforts.
8. Every "The Dick Van Dyke Show" aficionado should know that Richie Petrie's middle name is Rosebud, and that Rob contrived his son's name to appease family members, whose favorite names included Robert, Oscar, Sam, Edward, and Benjamin.
