1. Whom does Molly first hypnotise?

Answer: Petula

Petula is Miss Adderstone's grumpy dog. She's grumpy because she eats too many chocolate biscuits so Molly hypnotises her to hate them. After that Molly and Petula were friends, and inseparable.

2. When Molly and Edna go to town, what does Molly imply about Edna to the waiter?

Answer: Edna's on a outing from the hospital

Molly tells Edna when she is in a trance that she should shout at anyone who tries to tell her off or bully her, which comes into effect when Miss Adderstone tries to punish Molly.

3. Where does Mr Nockman come from?

Answer: Chicago

Mr Nockman pretends to be a professor for a Chicago museum. He wanted the Hypnotism book more than anything, and "stalked" people carrying books.

She used a soap-on-a-string before buying herself a very expensive pendulum (�550) from an antique shop, "Mouldy Old Gold". It was the same shop from which Mr Nockman bought anti-hypnotism glasses (�450).
