Mrs. Zinman's wedding ring disappeared the day after Jillian got Slappy in the mail. Mrs. Zinman asked Jillian and Katie if they took it, and they both said they didn't. Jillian grew more uneasy about having Slappy in the house after that, because she started to suspect that he was more than just a dummy.
