Answer: Graystripe

In the book "Dawn", Graystripe was kidnapped by Twolegs, but no cat knew what had happened to him. This series details what transpires from his point of view while he is away from his Clan.

Brightheart was the last cat left in a cage in the back of a Twoleg monster, and Graystripe was working frantically to free her. Though he finally managed to open her cage, the Twolegs drove off just as she leapt out, slamming the back doors shut and trapping Graystripe inside.

About two feet into the backyard, he is stunned by the multitude of scents and sounds that he finds. It scares him so much that he runs back inside, ashamed of himself.

Answer: He is soaked by a lawn sprinkler

While sniffing around for a familiar landmark, Graystripe disturbs a large and very angry dog, who chases him into a neighbor's yard. This neighbor is mowing the lawn and almost mows down Graystripe, who then runs onto a Thunderpath and narrowly avoids being hit by a monster.

In confusion, he runs to a nearby Twoleg nest and in the back door, where he realizes that he has run back to the exact point he started from, moaning "I'm never going to get out of here!"

Answer: A moth

After causing some trouble in his Twoleg nest, Graystripe finds an open window, which he delightfully sneaks out of. When he sees a moth, he starts playfully batting at it, stopping when he realizes that he is acting like a kit.

Answer: Duke's

Graystripe attempts to escape the Twoleg community by climbing over fences. After about four fences, he climbs a tree to see how far he's gotten, only to find that he has made hardly any progress; the community is huge. Climbing back down, he tries to get his bearings, but Duke attacks Graystripe for being on his territory.

After chasing him off, Graystripe realizes that he might be losing his warrior abilities.

Answer: Millie

Millie proves to be a valuable friend to Graystripe, listening to his problems. Later she finds him a forest in which he can seek refuge from his troubles.

Answer: A mouse

In the small woods near the Twoleg nests, he finds a mouse, but misses terribly when he tries to catch it. He and Millie lie in the sun, and he tells her all about his old life in ThunderClan. After hearing of this, Millie decides that she wants to learn to hunt her own prey, which Graystripe readily teaches her.

Answer: The son

When the Twoleg boy finds Graystripe exiting a window onto the roof, he expresses concern for Graystripe's safety and carries him downstairs to let him out through the front door. Of course, he probably had no idea that that would be the last time he ever saw Graystripe.

When Graystripe first asks Millie to accompany him, she tells him that she can't just leave her Twoleg, so he sets off without her. After returning to her nest, though, she changes her mind. She uses all her tracking and fighting skills that she learned from Graystripe to find him lying in a drainpipe, having passed out from dehydration and exhaustion after ten days of wandering.

The two decide to finish their journey together, walking off into the sunset.
