1. Most people know of Eve from the Garden of Eden--she was responsible for the downfall of humanity. She was Adam's wife, but some philosophers claim that Adam had a female companion before Eve who was decidedly evil. Who was this mysterious and maleficent woman?

Answer: Lilith

This woman was supposedly so evil that she was banished from Eden apart from Adam. In legend, it is said that her spirit roams about and tries to seduce sleeping men and suffocate children.
2. "Evil Woman" was a popular song by which 1970s band?

Answer: Electric Light Orchestra

"Evil Woman" was rumored to have been written by the band's vocalist, Jeff Lynne, in 30 minutes. It appeared as a track on the band's 1975 album "Face the Music".
3. Who was the first woman to be hanged in the U.S. under federal law?

Answer: Mary Surratt

Mary ran the boarding house where the plot to assassinate Abraham Lincoln was formulated, and it was assumed she was a co-conspirator. She was a widow at that time and had a son who was a Confederate soldier.
4. In what southern U.S. state did Bonnie Parker meet her end? (Hint: She perished in a parish.)

Answer: Louisiana

Parker and her companion in crime, Clyde Barrow, were ambushed and gunned down by law enforcement agents in a rural area of Bienville Parish on May 23, 1934. The posse consisted of four Texas officers (Ted Hinton, B.M. "Manny" Gault, Frank Hamer and Bob Alcorn) and two Louisiana officers (Henderson Jordan and Prentiss Oakley). Unsubstantiated claims say that the couple sustained around 50 gunshots apiece; others say it was more likely 50 added together.
5. Which of these women is most associated with the nickname "Hollywood Madame"?

Answer: Heidi Fleiss

In the late 1980s, Fleiss (a.k.a. Madame to the Stars) started operating a prostitution ring. She was arrested in 1993 for "pandering". Federal charges of tax evasion were also brought against her. She was found guilty in 1996, and served a seven year sentence.
6. How does the Bible say wicked Queen Jezebel met her end?

Answer: thrown out of a window

Jezebel was seen as an evil influence on Israel because of her very public displays of idol worship. Her priests had a showdown with the prophet Elijah on Mt. Carmel (1 Kings 18:19-40). She also had arranged the death of Naboth because he wouldn't sell his vineyard to her husband, King Ahab (1 Kings 21:1-16).

When Ahab died in battle and Jehu became the new king, he ordered her death by defenestration after which dogs ate her body (2 Kings 9:30-36).
7. What was Myra Hindley's claim to evil fame?

Answer: serial child killer

With her "helper" Ian Brady, Hindley was found guilty of murdering five children in the Manchester area of England. Dubbed the "Moors Murders", they took place between July 1963 and October 1965. The professor of forensic psychiatry at Cardiff University, Malcolm MacCulloch, termed her "a sexually sadistic psychopath".

In 1985, she was sentenced to 30 years in prison and died in 2002 at age 60 from pneumonia.
8. What uncomplimentary sobriquet was given to Leona Helmsley?

Answer: The Queen of Mean

Ms. Helmsley was well-known for her bombastic and dictatorial behavior. She and her husband Harry built a real estate, hotel and condominium business in New York City. She was convicted of income tax evasion in 1987 and sentenced to serve a 21 month sentence, partially under house arrest. She died in August 2007 from congestive heart failure.
9. Who sang the theme song to the American cable TV series "Bad Girls Club"?

Answer: Tokyo Diva

"Bad Girls Club" aired on the Oxygen Network in the "reality show" genre. The premise centered on seven women with personality problems who are on the show to try to reform their lives.
10. Who was Lucrezia Borgia's father?

Answer: Pope Alexander VI

The oft married and widowed Lucrezia was the illegitimate daughter of Rodrigo Borgia (a.k.a. Pope Alexander VI). She was involved in the political intrigues of her family and probably had affairs with other important and powerful men of 15th Century Italy.

It is rumored that she poisoned her family's rivals with a powder she concealed in a ring to clandestinely taint their beverages. She died, not by poison, but from the complications of giving birth to her eighth child when she was 39.
