Cheryl Ladd, a singer-turned-actress, once provided the voice for a 'toon character named Melanie on Hanna-Barbera's "Josie and the Pussycats" in 1970. At that time, Cheryl was going by the name Cherie Moor. 2. Heather Trott on the British soap opera "The EastEnders" was a role played by which of these ladies named Cheryl?

Answer: Cheryl Fergison

Cheryl Fergison IS Heather Trott, if British soaps mimic their American counterparts. These people become almost real in the viewing public's mind, and due to the overwhelming popularity of "The EastEnders" it wouldn't be the least bit surprising to know that Heather Trott thought and acted just like Cheryl!

The program has been awarded no less than six BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) awards, as well as ten National Television Awards for "Most Popular Serial Drama" and yet ANOTHER ten awards for "Best Soap" at the British Soap Awards.

Cheryl Fergison attended Rose Bruford College (a respected drama school in Britain), and has appeared on a number of television programs prior to her appearance on "EastEnders". She made her debut on the show in 2007, but had been featured one time before that as a "cell mate" of fellow actor Mo Harris on the program in 2005.
3. The Intersex Society of North America was founded by a woman known by the pseudonym Cheryl Chase. Why did she found this organization in 1993?

Answer: as a non-profit advocacy group to prevent stigma and unwanted genital surgeries

Cheryl Chase founded the Intersex Society of North America in an effort to bring about awareness of those who suffer from being born with the sex organs of both males and females. Her goals were to ease the stigma and shame associated with this birth defect, and while the original society no longer exists per se, she has remained active in her efforts to promote the term "disorders of sex development" as opposed to the more controversial name of hermaphroditism.

She was born in 1956 as Brian Sullivan, but later became known as Bonnie Sullivan, and later still, she became Bo Laurent before adopting the pseudonym "Cheryl Chase".
4. Rita Maria Crudgington is famous for being a member of 1980s pop group Bucks Fizz, but tell me this - by which "Cheryl" name is she best known?

5. In 1958, then-14 year old Cheryl Christina Crane got by with murder. Literally. How did she manage to avoid any jail time?

Answer: the judge ruled it justifiable homicide

The only child of actress Lana Turner, Cheryl Crane overheard her mother's boyfriend at the time, Johnny Stompanato, threatening to kill her mother. The date was April 4, 1958 and Cheryl was fourteen years old.

Apparently, Mr. Stompanato had a reputation for being abusive to folks. Once he even threatened actor Sean Connery with a gun. Bad mistake that time, too. Sean took the weapon away from him and beat him, forcing off the set of the movie that he and Lana Turner were involved in filming at the time, "Another Time, Another Place".

The killing of Stompanato by Cheryl Crane was ruled by the judge to be justifiable homicide because she feared for her mother's life and Cheryl was sent off to a boarding school instead of to jail.
