Answer: Tenzing Norgay

Hillary was the first man to reach the summit of Everest. He was apparently just a step or two ahead of Tenzing. However, there has been some debate about this and some people believe that Tenzing may have reached the summit first. Jurg Marmet was the third man to reach the summit.
2. The first was Neil Armstrong. Who was second?

Answer: buzz aldrin

Armstrong was the first man to set foot on the moon. He did so in 1969. Aldrin set foot on the moon on the same mission as Armstrong. The famous footage of the astronaut walking down the ladder is in fact Aldrin. How could it have been Armstrong? Who would have been filming it? 1972 was the last year in which a man stood on the moon.

On one occasion he even paused to cook an omelette.

Bandaranaike became the first female Prime Minister in the world when she took charge of Sri Lanka in July 1960. Indira Gandhi became Prime Minister of India in January 1966. The first and only female British Prime Minister of the Twentieth Century was Margaret Thatcher.

Henry VII became the first Tudor Monarch after defeating Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth Field. Henry VIII was the second Tudor monarch. The Tudors were succeeded by the Stuarts.
