Hudson River is on the West Side, New Jersey is on the other side. East River is on the East Side, separating Manhattan from Queens. Harlem River is on the North Side of Manhattan, separating it from the Bronx, and Upper New York Bay is on the South Side of Manhattan, with Brooklyn and Staten Island on the south and southwest of Manhattan.
