The Cadbury's chocolate factory is the world's largest chocolate factory and the home of Dairy Milk and other such delights.

Birmingham International Station is on the outskirts of Birmingham next to the airport and the NEC not in central Birmingham. New Street is the main station.

With a population of just over 1 million Birmingham, UK is larger than its namesake across the pond which in a 2005 estimate the city proper had 231,483 residents, although both cities are the centre of a much larger conurbation. Birmingham, Alabama is directly named after Birmingham, UK as the founders of the Alabama city wanted to create a great centre of industry. That was in 1871 when Birmingham was seen as England's principal industrial city of the day.

Answer: West Bromwich Albion (Football)

West Bromwich or most commonly West Brom for both the team and the town is a large town just outside the city boundries. Although the West Brom stadium, The Hawthorns when originally built was half in Birmingham, although changes to the city boundary place the stadium well outside the city now. Aston Villa is the cities premier sports team playing in the Premier League and one of Englands most successful football teams. Warwickshire Cricket Club is based at Edgbaston Cricket Club just outside the city centre. Prior to the creation of the West Midlands county in 1974 Birmingham was part of Warwickshire. Moseley Rugby Club currently play in National Division One, the second tier of English rugby although the interest in football in the city is far greater than that for Rugby and the club have struggled financially since Rugby Union in England became professional.

The M6 and A38 join just north of the city centre. At this time it is the A38(M) or Aston Expressway. The M5 and M6 join a M6 J8 as the Spaghetti Junction is J6. The A38 and M5 come into contact south of the city at Junction 4 and again at Junction 5.

Rover was based at the Longbridge factory in the south west of the city. Currently the Chinese company Nanjing Automotives have plans to restart production at the factory, although its rival Shanghai Automotive owns the rights to the Rover designs and BMW in 2006 bought the rights to the Rover name for £6 million. Jaguar is based at Coventry not Birmingham although does have a factory just outside of Birmingham in Castle Bromwich, part of the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull.

The University of Birmingham's main campus is in Edgbaston, the BCU (Birmingham City University, former name UCE) in Perry Barr and Aston University on the edge of the City Centre.

Answer: River Rea

The original place of Birmingham is about a five minute walk from the city centre and is in Digbeth. The River Rea (pronounced Ray) flows into the River Tame, which flows into the River Trent, which in turn flows into the Humber Estuary around 110 miles North of Birmingham.

The River Cole flows in nearby Solihull while the Trent flows North through Derby and Stoke. The Severn flows to the East but is linked by the Birmingham Worcester Canal.
