1. In the "Old Game of Warhammer" which hallucinogenic substance sends night goblins into a fanatical frenzy?

Answer: Mushrooms

Magic mushrooms are fed to night goblin fanatics who spin randomly with huge balls on chains. I have often been victim to my own fanatics wiping out my best units on the battlefield as I am sure you other Orc and Goblin generals have.

2. Which race of orc is generally considered the biggest and strongest?

Answer: Black orcs

Black orcs were generally bigger and, as I remember, more impressive models. There is no such thing as a forest orc (only a forest goblin).

3. Which of these special characters is a black orc?

Answer: Morglum Necksnapper

Azhag and Gorfang are normal orc chiefs and Grom the Paunch is a particularly amusing overweight goblin who rides a chariot and has a sidekick named niblit. Morglum Necksnapper is a Black Orc who rode a war boar into battle.

4. In Warhammer, who are the king and queen of the Wood?

Answer: Orion and Ariel

In the Warhammer world, Orion and Ariel are the king and queen of the wood elves in the forest of Athel Loren. If there are any literary types taking this quiz, I apologise for the misleading Shakesperian reference to Oberon and Titania.

5. Which of these skaven troop types are trained to be assassins?

Answer: Gutter Runners

The army list includes two troop types: gutter runners and assassins, when a gutter runner completes his training he becomes a full assassin.

6. Which Skaven clan are responsible for creating the army war machines?

Answer: Skryre

Pestilens deals with creatures related to plague weapons such as censer bearers and plague monks. Eshin is the clan of the assassins or gutter runners (as mentioned in question 5). Moulder is the mutant clan in which genetical monsters such as rat ogres are created. Skyre is the more technical clan, concerned with machines of destruction (e.g. the infinitely impressive 'Doomwheel' and 'The Screaming Bell').

7. What is the catapult type war machine known as, used by the orcs and goblins?

Answer: The Rock Lobber

Orcs and goblins have some of the best war machines including doom divers and snotling pump wagons.

8. What is Bugman's (The Dwarf) most famous Ale?

Answer: Bugman's XXXXXX (6X)

We know how Dwarves like their ale! Strong!

9. What is the minimum number of models needed to constitute a unit? (This question does not concern units governed by special rules e.g. skirmishers)

Answer: five

There are exceptions I believe but five is usually the smallest unit you can possibly have. At the other end of the spectrum I once met someone who worked in Games Workshop, Manchester who regularly operated with a unit of 91 Stormvermin. Please drop me a line if anyone out there can beat that claim.

10. What is the deamon available to Skaven armies known as?

Answer: Vermin Lord

A very impressive model and equally as impressive on the battlefield. The vermin lord gets to chose his spells in battle, often giving him the best magic on the battlefield. Plus he's not too shabby in hand to hand combat.
