Answer: Barney Martin

Barney Martin, most famous for playing Morty on "Seinfeld", was the original Amos. Jerry Orbach was the original Billy Flynn, Joel Grey starred as Amos in the revival production, and Richard Korthaze was the understudy who eventually would replace Martin.
2. Who first played Bud Frump in "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying"?

Answer: Charles Nelson Reilly

Charles Nelson Reilly was the original Bud Frump. Morse played Finch in the original production, Teague was in the movie version as Bud, and Matthew Broderick was the star of the most recent revival. Reilly also played Mr. Henkel in "Bye Bye Birdie" and Cornelius in "Hello, Dolly".
3. Who was the first Broadway Tevye in "Fiddler on the Roof"?

Answer: Zero Mostel

Zero Mostel was the first to play Tevye. Topol, Herschel Bernadi, and Alfred Molina all played Tevye in revival productions. Topol also starred in the movie versions. Mostel won Tony awards for his performances in "Fiddler", "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum", and the play "Rhinoceros".

Jill Haworth beat out Liza Minnelli for the part she desperately wanted, however won over in the movie. Penny Fuller was standby for the role, and Chita Rivera has starred in other Kander and Ebb hits, but not "Cabaret". "Cabaret" is Haworth's only Broadway performance.

Answer: Colm Wilkinson

Colm Wilkinson was the original Jean Valjean. Terrence Mann played Javert in the original Broadway production. Michael Crawford and Jonathon Pryce have starred in other Cameron Mackintosh musicals. The Irish actor won a 1987 Theatre World Award for his performance.
