Answer: Rodgers and Hart

"Babes in Arms" first opened on April 14, 1937. It was redone in the 1950's with the version that is usually done on stage now, as the show takes place in the 1950's.
2. Compete the lyrics from the title song: "They call us babes in arms, but we are babes in ____________."

Answer: armour

Val is the lead singer in this ensemble number. The kids in the show all want to be taken seriously as actors, but they are seen as just "babes in arms".
3. What is the name of the play that Lee Calhoun wrote, directed and stars in?

Answer: The Deep North

Lee Calhoun is a southerner who hates the north.
4. How does Gus know who Lee is when he first sees him?

Lee: "Did you see my picture?"
Gus: "No I heard your accent."
Lee: "Come down here and say that again."
Gus: (coming down off ladder) "I heard your accent."
Lee: "You can go back up now."

Lee is my favorite character in the show. He tries to act like a big tough southerner who hates the north, but he's nothing more than a cocky little man.
