1. First off, where is the main part of the story set?

Answer: L. A.

Most of the action takes place in LA, but some action takes place in other realms and time periods.

2. What is the Atrox?

Answer: the primal source of evil in the world

The Atrox is the evil that the Daughters fight against. They cannot attack it though because violence and hate only make it stronger.

3. What is the name of the Daughters' mentor?

Answer: Maggie

Maggie was originally named Penelope and lived in Ancient Greece. She dedicated herself to Selene in the Temple of Selene and vowed that she would never have the peace of death until the Atrox was destroyed, hence her continued existence.

4. What does Serena's power allow her to do?

Answer: read minds

This was a problem when she was younger because she would answer people's thoughts without realizing it.

5. What are the people that follow the Atrox known as?

Answer: Followers

Although not very inventive, the Followers is a good name. Followers are those people who have accepted the Atrox and have been accepted. Initiates are those who are waiting to be accepted. The Followers often fight the Daughters.

6. What power does Jimena have?

Answer: she has premonitions

When she was little, she thought that she made the things she saw come true. She later learns that this isn't true, but she has never been able to stop one of her premonitions from coming true.

7. Catty's power allows her to travel through time.

Answer: True

Catty often uses her power to get more time to sleep, or do homework. She has been caught in the "tunnel", the place through which she travels in time, several times.

8. Who is the only girl who was not born a Daughter?

Answer: Tianna

Selene allowed her to become a Daughter when she used her powers to save the others.

9. Vanessa can move things with her mind.

Answer: False

Vanessa can become invisible. Even at 16, she still does not have complete control over it. In times of intense emotion or stress, she loses control over her molecules.
