Afew miles before Charly reached his destination, the motorcycle gave up and Charly had to walk it the rest of the way.
7. What was the name of Charly Black Crow's principal at school?

Answer: Mr. Saberhagen

Mr. Saberhagen was actually similar to Mrs. Grice. They were both mean to Charly in many ways. One day when Charly went to school, he was wearing his authentic moccasins and Mr. Saberhagen told him he couldn't wear them because they went against the school dress code. Charly refused to not wear them, and at the same time he talked back with a "tone" at Mr. Saberhagen.

The consequence for talking back was a week of detention, and that was where Charly first met Nicky.

Answer: Iya

In Charly's story, Stone Boy was a young man who was half human and half stone. Along time ago before his birth, his mother lived with her two brothers and one day they suddenly disappeared. Later on, his mother swallowed a pebble and she mysteriously became pregnant.

She gave birth to Stone Boy and when he grew up and became a man, he went to defeat the Evil One known as Iya and save his ancestors who were being imprisoned by the beast. When he attempted to defeat Iya the first time, he failed and then he went to Old Woman and she healed his wounds.

She told him to take a mirror with him the next time he was to go up against the Evil One, and when he did he defeated Iya and he also set all of his ancestors free.
9. What was the name of the chief on the Indian reservation that Charly Black Crow went to?

Answer: No

At the end of the story, Chief Bear-in-cave called Charly's social worker and he asked her to come see Charly. When Barb got there, Charly decided to go back to the group home or possibly become part of a new group home and Chief Bear-in-cave told Charly that he could come back to the Indian reservation during the summer.
