1. The heroine of the book "Fire" became injured several times. Which was NOT a result of her injuries?

Answer: She lost a toe.

Fire eventually got frostbite and as a result she lost two fingers on her left hand. She got scars on her neck from raptor monsters which cut her with their claws and her nose was broken in a fight.

2. Which name does not belong to any human in the book?

Answer: None of these

Arklin was actually Archer's first name, Archer was merely a nickname. Brigandell was Brigan's royal name. Liddy was one of Fire's childhood friends.

3. How many members of the royal family are actual descendants of Nax?

Answer: three of the four were his children

Nash and the twins, Clara and Garan, were Nax's blood children. Nash was born to Roen and Nax. The twins were born to a servant that Nax got pregnant. Brigan was the only child Nax did not sire.

4. Which is NOT the name of an animal in the book?

Small was Fire's gelding and was a gift from her father. Big was Brigan's mare. Horse was the name of the river mare that attached herself to Fire. Twi was an incorrect spelling of Twy, which was Fire's childhood dog.

Welkley was the key because he bore a strong resemblance to Hart. The scheme was that the kidnappers would make it appear that Hart had been injured and then tossed over a cliff. It wasn't Hart that got tossed, though, it was Welkley, dressed as Hart. Welkley was a strong swimmer and was able to make it to a waiting boat after being thrown to sea.
