1. Which character is the rooster?

Answer: Kureno

Although he never transforms in the manga, Kureno's zodiac sign is represented by a sparrow rather than a rooster. The author, Natsuki Takaya, chose the sparrow instead because she said it suits his character more.

2. Haru broke up with Rin.

Answer: False

Rin broke up with Haru to protect him from Akito. When Akito found out that they were seeing each other in secret, she pushed Rin out of a window. Since Rin actually cared very deeply for Haru, she pretended to hate him so Akito wouldn't punish him as well. Rin has a flasback of this in volume 14. In the meantime, Rin is looking for a way to break the curse.

3. When Tohru takes Hiro and Kisa to the park, what type of food do they buy?

Answer: Crepes

This is where Hiro tells Tohru (in volume 7) that he wishes he could be more mature like an adult. Tohru replies that it's very mature to admit you're immature.

4. Which old friend of Kana's has a huge crush on Hatori?

Answer: Mayu: Tohru, Yuki, and Kyo's teacher

Mayu and Kana are old college friends. It's suggested that Mayu and Hatori form a relationship in the future. This is in volume 10.

5. Who was the boy in the hat from Tohru's past?

Answer: Yuki

Revealed in volume 15, the hat originally belonged to Kyo, but he refused to accept it back after Yuki found it. While running around town wearing the hat, Yuki leads Tohru to her distraught mother. This gave him a tremendous sense of joy.

6. What is Akito's title in the zodiac?

Answer: God/ Buddha

This is why the worst part of the Sohma curse is their bond with Akito. Since she is their god, they cannot blame or hate her, even though she causes most of their miseries. Akito reveals this to Tohru while they were staying at the summer home, which happens in volume 11.

7. What gift does Yuki bring Machi from his class trip to Kyoto?

Answer: A red leaf

Machi laminates the leaf and carries it with her all the time. He gave it to her in volume 13.

8. What was Kyoko's maiden name?

Answer: Katsunuma

A teacher called her by her last name while she was making a scene in volume 16. Kyoko was a wild child growing up. But when she fell in love with Katsuya, her future husband, she left her gang and settled down with him.

9. What story does Tohru's class act out in a play?

Answer: Cinderella

The Yuki Fan Club girls did the casting all wrong, so the script had to be rewritten to complement the actors' personalities in volume 15. Their version was much better, in my opinion.

10. What kind of food was Ritsu buying for Shigure when he ran into Tohru and then Mitchan?

Answer: Takoyaki

Takoyaki are dumplings made from octopus. Ritsu thinks it turns Shigure into a great writing warrior. This is in volume 8.
