Bonnie doesn't go into great detail over why she uses Silver, but when asked why she doesn't use the name Conner, she tells Billy that if he knew what her father did to her and her mom, he wouldn't want the Conner name, either.

He admits doubt about finding his father even with proof that Jared (his father) is alive. He then begins to accept that his father is alive and a dragon.
