Nathaniel has to miss the birth of his first child, Nate, because he is working as a medic in Vietnam.

Answer: A book

Mr Umstead's brother mentioned a book to Nathaniel, called "The Urantia Book", which Nathaniel's friend had also told him about in Vietnam. He agrees to accept the book instead of a cash payment. The other options are some of the unorthodox agreements mentioned in the series, particularly in "The Room", from Season One.

Answer: A silk works

Isobel tells Nathaniel how they died trying to save the silkworms from a fire. This book is supposed to be British, and it is so stereotypical! "May I have another crumpet with jam?" - we just don't speak like that!
