Answer: Lukien

Captain Lukien is the famed Bronze Knight of Lirria. I thought I would start you off with something easy. If you got this wrong you should probably go back and read this magnificent book.

2. Akeela first refered to the great library of Lirria as the Cathedral of __________.

Answer: Knowledge

When he first spoke of the library to Cassandra he titled it the Cathedral of Knowledge. It was the first time Akeela and Cassandra had truly spoken to each other.

3. Who was Akeela's father and Lukien's foster father?

Answer: King Balak

King Balak is the only one of this selection who is a Lirrian. Earl Linuk was the first to greet Akeela and Lukien when they entered Reec. King Karis was the father of Cassandra and king of Reec. Raxor was King Karis's brother and didn't inherit the throne of Reec until the sequel "The Devil's Armor".

4. Who did Akeela hire to run the Library?

Answer: Figgis

Figgis became the librarian and then later was killed by Akeela because he suspected Figgis had betrayed him.

5. Gilwyn first met the Mistress of Grimhold in an alley in Koth. How long had passed between this and the beginning of the book?

It took sixteen long years for Koth to turn into a shadow of its former glory. Akeela was known to the people as "Akeela the Ghost", and while the Lirrian army was one of the strongest in the continent, the country was in ruins.

Rodrik Varl was Jazana Carr's bodyguard. Everyone else wasn't mentioned much. King Lorn was Jazana's enemy and Count Onikil worked for the Diamond Queen.

Answer: protect the people of Grimhold

Kahan Kadar gave Lukien the task of protecting the people of Grimhold from Akeela and Trager. There are two reasons for this. The Mistress of Grimhold was a very good friend of Kahan Kadar, and the Kahan's daughter, White-eye, resided there.

8. What is the name of Minikin's Akari?

Answer: Larinza

Larinza is Minikin's Akari. She is the sister of Amaraz, and each inhabits one Eye of God amulet. Khaldris inhabits the Devil's Armor which is a suit of armor that makes its wearer invincible. Ruana is Gilwyn's Akari.

9. In Akeela's pursuit of Lukien, they force their way through a little nation called Nith. Prince Daralor surrenders and lets the Lirrian army proceed through his country after losing what?

Answer: fingers

After Prince Daralor is defeated, he is taken captive by Akeela and then released once the Lirrian army made its way through the principality of Nith.

10. If Lukien's army had failed to defeat Trager, Amaraz would make sure the Lirrians would never enter Grimhold. How would Amaraz kill the Lirrians?

Answer: an inferno of fire

Since Amaraz's power was greatest inside Grimhold his inferno would engulf everyone inside Grimhold. Minikin took a big gamble by not evacuating everyone, but the alternative had too great a risk. I really hope you enjoyed my quiz!
