The last book of the "Dragon Star" series. Even though it is left open for the younger children to follow in their parents' footsteps it seems that Melanie has moved on and will let her readers decide what will happen in that plot line.

A middle book from the "Sword-Dancer" saga. While not as good as many of her other series, Jennifer Roberson sure makes you relate to the characters and leaves a lasting impression after you are finished reading all of the books.

My third favorite fantasy writer outside of Tad Williams and Melanie Rawn, and since Melanie Rawn took such a long period off it was easy to fall into the detail that is given in this series. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to understand the surroundings and thinkings of the story and can get past slow beginnings.

This book was released after a break from writing by Melanie. Love and witchcraft have been substituted for the final book of the "Exiles" series. Not an altogether bad book, it is just many fans have been waiting so long for "Captal's Tower", this one seems almost bland. We all forgive Melanie though; at least she is back and writing.
