Alice lives in the world behind the mirrors. Julian falls in love with her before he learns that she is his sister. By the way, that's another plot twist Hohlbein seems to like a lot: All the way through the whole story, you think that these two people are going to get together, but in the end they turn out to be brother and sister or something of the like.

'Midgard' is one of his best, in my opinion. The Hohlbein couple tells the end of the ancient German world and the new beginning. It's just too bad that all the gods die.

The series took place in the fifties right after Roswell. It wasn't very successful; here in Germany they only showed the first season - I don't know if there were more than one.

'Dreizehn' was the first book by Hohlbein I read and I still think it's one of his best. I must have read it at least thirteen times...

The boarding school Aton attends in 'Die Prophezeiung' burns down shortly after Aton leaves. In 'Katzenwinter', Justin has to fight back the powers held by the Dark Tower which is part of the ruins. I recently came across an old Hohlbein book called "Magog" which is, again, set in Crailsfelden (although it's spelled with a K there), and apparently it tells the story of the school before both, Aton and Justin, heard of it. "Magog" is from 1990 or 1992. I read it, but I didn't like it as much as the others.
