Question 1 of 10
1. Vampires and werewolves live and fight by their own rules in "Underworld". But what about the mortals? Shouldn't they be given a chance in this dark world? A fair deal would be adding the ultimate monster-hunting team: Blade, Van Helsing & Co. Who would therefore have to play a double role in this "blockbuster" sequel? Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. "Mars Attack" found mankind totally unprepared for such an aggressive attack, and our race barely escaped the green invaders. The sequel would go like this: the Martians have prepared for a new invasion, but they're in for a big surprise since Earth is now protected by a special organization meant to deal with this kind of alien problem. What's the name of the organization which is going to blast the Martians back to where they came from? Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. With each new film, the "James Bond" movies seem to draw nearer towards the "fantasy" domain. Therefore it wouldn't be too out of line if the next one featured a guest appearance by agents XXX, Austin Powers, and Johnny English, all competing with agent 007 for the title of best spy. To complete such an outrageous script, who would make the perfect villain (he's been the eternal archenemy of one of the four agents mentioned above)? Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. The "Ghostbusters" reunite but since they've been out of activity for so long they need to get in touch with the new ghost busting methods. And who could teach them better if not the one and only_______. Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. Brian O'Connor may be "2 Fast and 2 Furious", but his ultimate challenger for the next sequel could be a certain bus driver who might teach him a lesson (or 2) about "Speed". Who am I thinking about here? Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. Batman's reputation as the top crime fighter in his city is unmatched. However, this place could be seriously threatened by another famous superhero, who would find the tall buildings of Gotham City the perfect scenery for his elegant leaps, bounces and jumps. Thus, what animal could be reflected over the skies of Gotham in the sequel, should it gain more popularity than the "bat"? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. The "Jurassic Park" movies have already featured frightful giants like T-Rex and Spinosaurus. What famous reptile monster could be the new main attraction in the next "Park" (besides the Loch Ness monster)? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. "Mortal Kombat" and "Street Fighter", the most popular arcade fighting games, have been taken to the big screen and turned into movies. Not surprisingly, the results were less than satisfactory in both cases. However, a combined sequel like "Mortal Fighter" or "Street Kombat", with twice as much action-fighters couldn't do any worse. The US Army would proudly be represented by three characters. They would be _____. Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. Since the ending scene of "The Day after Tomorrow" suggested that the ice cap would eventually melt, the sequel ("The Day after the Day after Tomorrow") would certainly have to deal with water. Who could therefore give human-kind some precious hints about surviving in the impending "Waterworld"? Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. Alien and Predator - the nastiest extraterestrials of all times, hunting each other in a combined sequel...I guess that would be great. Heck, they even made this one. Humans are of course caught in the middle, as Earth is the alien's battle ground. Where is the Alien site located? Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts

Answer: Kate Beckinsale as Selene and Anna Valerious

"Underworld", "Blade" and "Van Helsing" have at least one thing in common: they all take the vampires and werewolves out of the horror sphere and place them directly into the action one. Still, come to think of it, a combined sequel wouldn't be totally absurd: Blade, being half vampire, Van Helsing, having a werewolf experience, could make an incredible team. One thing is for certain though, the rough Daywalker won't stand a chance this time against the charms and moves of vampire Selene (played by the ravishing and talented Kate Beckinsale).

Answer: MIB

"Mars Attack" (1996) brought together an outstanding cast, but the real stars of the show were the big-headed, green Martians. With their goofy appearance, they could have easily been mistaken for one of the funny alien races featured in the "Men in Black" movies.

Answer: Dr. Evil

There probably won't ever be a more famous spy than James Bond. Newcomers like Triple X, Austin Powers and Johnny English pale in comparison with the legendary agent 007 (the last two shouldn't even be included here since they are parody spies). As one James Bond fan would say: even Q could prove a better agent than XXX.
4. The "Ghostbusters" reunite but since they've been out of activity for so long they need to get in touch with the new ghost busting methods. And who could teach them better if not the one and only_______.

Answer: Scooby Doo

Ghost movies aren't always scary, and the proof is the funny "Ghostbusters" series. The original movie, starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Sigourney Weaver, was a big hit in 1984, so a sequel came out in 1989. Yet, the Ghostbusters must have retired after that, leaving a lot of fans anticipating a third offering.

Their place was rapidly taken over by the Mystery Inc. - Scooby Doo's teenager gang.
5. Brian O'Connor may be "2 Fast and 2 Furious", but his ultimate challenger for the next sequel could be a certain bus driver who might teach him a lesson (or 2) about "Speed". Who am I thinking about here?

Answer: Annie Porter

Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves got famous after "Speed" (1994) as did Vin Diesel and Paul Walker after "The Fast and the Furious" (2001). No doubt, adrenaline is the word to describe these two movies, as they've written new chapters in action movie history. Both had sequels but neither of these reached the success of the originals.

Answer: spider

Comic book superheroes like Batman, Spiderman or Superman are just many variations of basically the same character (the isolated guy, hiding his true identity in the fight against crime, ever hoping the love of his life would somehow notice him). However, it's their great outfits and their special powers that make the difference, and therefore each of them sooner or later made it to the big screen. Since everybody loves heroes, it's no wonder that their stories turned into huge commercial successes, encouraging producers to make numerous sequels.
7. The "Jurassic Park" movies have already featured frightful giants like T-Rex and Spinosaurus. What famous reptile monster could be the new main attraction in the next "Park" (besides the Loch Ness monster)?

Answer: Godzilla

When "Jurassic Park" came out in 1993 everyone was left speechless by its awesome special effects (and more). Meanwhile, the audience got used to SFX, so when "Godzilla" came out five years later, it hadn't anything new to offer and turned out to be kind of a disappointment (being in fact the second Hollywood version of the original Japanese "Gojira" from 1954).
A combined sequel of the two could be viable only by ignoring the fact that Godzilla isn't a dinosaur, but rather on overgrown, mutated reptile (at least that's how it's featured in the last version).

Answer: Sonya, Jax and Guile

Usually movies are the ones to inspire video games, but sometimes things go the other way round. Such is the case of movies like "Mortal Kombat" and "Street Fighter" but also the more recent "Final Fantasy" and "Resident Evil". They don't raise high expectations, but at least they are granted some success at the box office, due to the fans of the games.

Answer: Mariner (Kevin Costner)

Movies depicting a hypothetical grim future of mankind always get the attention of the public. What distinguishes them is the catastrophic event that sends our race to the brink of extinction (nuclear war, meteors, ice caps melting, oceans drying out, alien invasions, dragons and so on) and the aftermath suffered by our planet (water covers everything, water disappears, AI overruns humans ...). Yet, while some of these movies, supported by a well-written story, manage to get through a message to the audience, others simply presume to show off with their special effects.
10. Alien and Predator - the nastiest extraterestrials of all times, hunting each other in a combined sequel...I guess that would be great. Heck, they even made this one. Humans are of course caught in the middle, as Earth is the alien's battle ground. Where is the Alien site located?

Answer: Antarctica

"Alien Vs. Predator" - this time a real movie and not one of my "absurd" fabrications (though since they've made this one, the previous proposed scripts can't be too far off). Both "Alien" and "Predator" are long-lasting successes ("Alien" - 1979, "Aliens" - 1986, "Alien 3" - 1992, "Alien: Resurrection" - 1997 and "Predator" - 1987, "Predator 2" - 1990), with the originals generally regarded (not accidentally) as the best. And now here comes the combined sequel, but I won't spoil you the pleasure of watching it, so don't hesitate to go to the cinema.

This was my "recipe" for future successful sequels and it's a good thing I stopped at ten (well, nine) choices because my imagination was getting pretty wild. Hope you've enjoyed them and I'll be seeing you at their premiers.
