Nate and Sam are caught trying to steal Ferdinand Magellan's first map of the entire world. They speak of how Magellan himself never circumnavigated the world; he was killed in the Battle of Mactan in the Philippines. However, the two are caught trying to jimmy the lock and the authorities bring them back to the orphanage that they are in.

This is Sam's third strike against him and he is being brought in, however, he escapes through the window, leaving Nate a ring on a chain.

Answer: Bartender

Nate works at an upscale bar (where he very nearly gets fired for being late) and he is an expert at talking up the clientele to target who he's going to steal from. In the movie, we see him chatting up a blonde woman (Zoe in the credits), and telling her facts about explorers while actually scoping out her bracelet. When he sees her outside later, that's when he steals it right off of her wrist.

All of this is observed by Victor Sullivan, a treasure hunter who needs another pair of hands. He approaches Nate and slips him a business card in lieu of the bracelet ensuring that Nate will make contact.

Answer: Auction house

After reading Juan Sebastian Elcano's diary, Nate realizes that Sully is after a fortune that Nate has been after for a really long time. Sully also mentions that he used to work with Sam, Nate's brother, and this was perhaps the impetus that Nate needed to get in league with Sully. Sully points out that the crosses that are mentioned in the diary are keys to getting the treasure, and that he has the other cross.

Sully points out that the cross is about to be sold at an auction and that is when it will be the most vulnerable to theft. They plan the heist at the auction house and Nate is tasked with cutting the lights so that Sully can steal the cross. Though the heist goes a bit sideways, the two manage to pull it off.

Answer: Barcelona

Sully manages to steal the cross from the auction whereas Nate barely escapes without being caught. As Sully is leaving, however, he runs into an old associate, Jo Braddock, who is a mercenary for hire, and she is after the cross for the Moncada family. The Moncadas are the wealthy backers of the Magellan expedition and they are also interested in getting the gold fortune. Sully manages to evade Braddock and get to his getaway car.

After reading the diary of Juan Sebastian Elcano, Sully and Nate realize that they need to go to Barcelona to find the treasure. However, they need to use the cross as a key to access the treasure. The cross they stole is the captain's cross and the cross that Sully says he has already is the crew's cross, and these need to be used together in order to get to the treasure. This will be Nate's first flight outside of the United States.

Answer: No

The keys work in the Santa Maria del Pi church in Barcelona, something that Nate is able to figure out from reading the diary. However, when they get to the church and find the passageway behind the altar, they are faced with a choice of turning the crosses clockwise or counterclockwise. Chloe and Nate insert the keys into the holes and turn to Sully for the answer. Sully looks in the diary and tells them "clockwise".

Unfortunately, this is the wrong call and the three narrowly avoid getting hit by a bunch of arrows that shoot out of the wall because of the trap they triggered. When they try again, turning the keys counterclockwise, they all seek cover before they turn their crosses. However, this is the right choice and they manage to open up the secret passage in the church.

Answer: Scottish

Since they were in New York City, Jo Braddock's henchmen have been assisting her in trying to secure the crosses as well as the diary. One of Jo's people is a tall silent man, and he is always working with another man, a Scottish man with a thick highland accent. Nate taunts him on more than one occasion and gets the better of him more than once. Jo Braddock, it is revealed, is working for the son of the head of the Moncada family, Santiago Moncada.

Answer: Salt

After going through the night club, Chloe and Nate reach an underground cavern with some old containers. Nate boosts Chloe up so that she can take a better look, however, her weight atop the container causes it to crack and eventually break, causing a chain reaction amongst the other containers which also break.

These containers are all filled with coarse salt. Hidden in the midst of the salt is a map which points to the location of the gold as the Philippines. Chloe betrays Nate and knocks him out stealing the map.

She goes to Moncada where it is revealed that she had been working for him all along.

Answer: In the trunk of Moncada's red Mercedes

Santiago Moncada's pride and joy, his 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL, gets taken along for the ride as the mercenaries pack for the trip to the Philippines. Unknown to them, however, is that Sully and Nate have stowed away in the trunk of the car. During the trip, the two step out of the car in order to steal back the map and to set out to get the treasure themselves. However, when they are found, things go to pieces and start falling out of the plane, the car included (literally, falling to pieces as it hits).

Earlier, aboard the plane, Jo Braddock has had enough of Santiago Moncada's pandering and decides to take matters into her own hands. She rebels against Moncada by slitting his throat and taking over the operation herself.

Answer: Helicopters

In the movie "Uncharted", Jo Braddock's people get Magellan's gold out of the cavern that they are in by carrying them on nets attached to helicopters. This is similar to the opening for the "Uncharted 3" video game. As improbable as this may seem, Sully and Nate are now airborne and have to commandeer the helicopter taking their ship. Sully, a former pilot, climbs up the rope to secure the cockpit of the helicopter while Nate stays aboard and fights his enemies on the deck.

This is probably the most memorable scene in the entire movie.

Answer: Nobody

Most of the gold falls into the ocean as Magellan's boats are smashed around into each other, into mountaintops, or the one that falls onto the ocean and just sinks (but looks great doing so). While Nate does manage to sneak off with some gold, it is a mere fraction of what was actually there hidden on the two boats. He shares some of it with Sully, and we understand that the two have gotten to trust each other just a bit.

Chloe is left empty-handed after having abandoned Nate and stolen the wrong coordinates. However, the pair of treasure hunters see her below them on a powerboat as she (presumably) follows their trail.
