Answer: Everett, Wisconsin

Everett, Wisconsin is a fictional place that is supposed to be located outside of Milwaukee. The name is mentioned once during the bonus feature "Special Bulletin" in the director's cut DVD.
2. What was Ana's husband's name?

Answer: Luis

Luis was the first person to be killed onscreen. Vivian, a little girl who lived in their neighbourhood, attacked him, ripping out his jugular.
3. What day did Ana, Michael, Kenneth, Andre and Luda arrive at the mall?

Answer: May 9, 2004

Another bonus feature in the director's cut DVD is "The Lost Tape", which contains gun shop owner Andy's video diary. In it he mentions seeing the new arrivals on the mall rooftop, and his excitement at finding more people like himself. The date of the entry is May 9, 2004.
4. One of the clothing stores in the mall is called Gaylen Ross, what significance does this name have?

Answer: She's one of the actors from the original 1978 film.

Gaylen Ross portrayed the character of Fran in the original 1978 film.
5. Which one of these characters was NOT a mall security guard?

Answer: Tucker

There was a fourth security guard by the name of Ben, who joined the ranks of the dead-ish. He was the twitcher in the mall fountain. Tucker arrived at the mall with the second group of survivors, what he does for a living is never mentioned.

Answer: Andy

Andy is the guy who is trapped in the building on the other side of the mall parking lot. The name of his store is Andy's Gun Works, and he lives in the apartment above it.

Although zombie is the more popular term to describe the film's monsters, it is never once used by a character. Mostly, they are referred to as 'those things'. CJ uses the term dead cannibals once and Steve describes the infected as being dead-ish: "Yeah, in the sense that they all sort of, uh... fell down... and then got up... and started eating each other."

Answer: June 6, 2004

Again, according to "The Lost Tape", Andy makes his last entry minutes before he turns into a zombie on June 6, 2004, the same day the zombies breech the mall forcing the survivors inside to implement their escape plan 5 days earlier than scheduled.
10. Which one of these actors from the original 1978 version of "Dawn of the Dead", did NOT make an appearance in the 2004 remake?

Answer: David Emge (Stephen)

Scott H. Reiniger, Tom Savini and Ken Foree can all be seen during the various television broadcasts shown in the film, all portraying different characters than the ones they played in the original. Reiniger plays a United States General, Savini a county sheriff and Foree is a televangelist. Ken Foree even delivers the tagline from the original film: "When there's no more room in Hell, the dead will walk the Earth."
