Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who did Laurie have a poster of on her wall?

Answer: James Ensor

Laurie had a poster of James Ensor on her wall. James Ensor was a painter who often did work about men wearing grotesque masks. It was of course ironic because Michael was a man in a grotesque mask. Laurie came home from school, still a bit jumpy from her eerie walk home. When she walked around her room you could clearly see the poster of James on the wall.
2. Who went up to the Myers' house on Halloween because of a dare?

Answer: Lonnie Lamb

Lonnie Lamb, the boy who bullied Tommy, went up to the Myer's house as his friends cheered him on. Loomis was waiting for Michael behind the bushes and taught Lonnie a lesson. As Lonnie got on the porch Loomis said, "Hey Lonnie, get your ass away from there," in a creepy voice. Lonnie and his friends ran fast.
3. Who owned the house that Bob and Lynda used for their tryst?

Answer: The Wallaces

Bob and Lynda walked into the Wallace house thinking Annie and Lindsey would be there. They were surprised to find the house empty (unbeknownst to them that Annie was dead, and Lindsey was with Laurie). They kissed on the Wallaces' couch and quickly made their way up to the bedroom. They made themselves at home not knowing that it would become the place of their deaths.
4. What did Laurie compare herself to when she was babysitting?

Answer: A girl scout

Laurie, who was working on a jack-o-lantern for Tommy, got off the phone with Annie, who had asked her to watch Lindsey so she could go see her boyfriend. Laurie agreed and commented to herself that "the old girl scout comes through again".
5. Why did Annie's boyfriend, Paul, get grounded?

Answer: He got caught soaping windows.

On their way home from school the girls discussed their plans for that night. Annie said Paul "got caught soaping windows" and was grounded. We never actually saw Paul in the movie but we heard his voice when he was on the phone with Annie. The voice that can be heard was that of the director, John Carpenter.
6. Where did Tommy hide to scare Lindsey?

Answer: Behind the curtains

Tommy wanted to scare Lindsey so he quietly got off the couch, went behind the curtains and said "Lindsey" in a scary voice. But the real joke was on Tommy who looked out the window behind him to see Michael, scaring him and causing him to scream. Lindsey wasn't mad at Tommy and even believed him when he told Lindsey and Laurie that he had seen the boogie man.
7. What costume did Lindsey Wallace wear?

Answer: She didn't wear a costume

Lindsey Wallace was never shown wearing a costume, but rather a plaid dress and a red t-shirt. Her friend, Tommy Doyle, dressed as an astronaut.
8. What was the model of the car that Michael stole to go to Haddonfield?

Answer: Station wagon

Michael had escaped from Smith's Grove in a state plated station wagon originally driven by his new nurse, Marion. Michael jumped on the car, broke the window and forced Marion out. Dr. Loomis was understandably surprised to see a man who had been locked up since the age of six drive away. The station wagon even had a state sticker on the side.
9. Who did Lynda think was driving the car that passed the girls on their way home from school?

Answer: Devon Graham

When walking home from school the girls saw a station wagon going down the street. When the girls wondered who was driving, Lynda said, "Is that Devon Graham?" Laurie said, "I don't think so". To that, ditzy Lynda said, "I think he's cute". The person who was actually driving was Michael.
10. Whose point of view did we see from at the start of the movie?

Answer: Michael's

In the first scene of the movie, we saw Michael's point of view as a six year old boy. He was dressed as a clown and he was spying on his sister. When her boyfriend left, Michael grabbed a butcher knife, walked upstairs and killed his sister. When he walked outside the camera panned to show his face.
