Answer: Forrest Bondurant

During the first delivery of moonshine in the film, we see Forrest Bondurant and his older brother Howard taking the moonshine in while the youngest brother Jack stays with the car. A man approaches Jack with a knife, scaring him. However his brothers comes out at the perfect time. Forrest takes hold of the situation, and says this before making the man who threatened Jack pay for what he did.

Answer: Iron knuckles

After Jack gets threatened, Forrest takes off his hat, hides a set of iron knuckles behind him, and punches the man in the mouth, knocking out his teeth, leaving him on the ground spitting up blood. Jack was asked by Howard if he was fine, and Jack replies with that line. Seeing the shock in his eyes, the older brothers are making sure Jack is okay. Jack noted that he will always remember the sound those iron knuckles made when Forrest punched the man.

Howard lets Jack know about it, and early the next morning, Jack grabs his shotgun, hops into Cricket's car and drives to the Franklin County Line where Rakes is. Forrest then tells Maggie this and prepares to leave.

The Bondurant brothers, along with a few other moonshiners, engage Rakes and the other officers there, ending with Jack and Howard killing Rakes. Jack and Forrest get shot, Forrest badly, but after weeks in the hospital, Forrest walks out and marries Maggie. Howard gets hitched shortly after, and down the road, Jack marries Bertha.
