While everyone is tossing around ideas like a car wash and donating blood, Gordon remembers reading about the Las Vegas International Dodgeball Open in his favorite publication. The winner's purse is exactly $50,000, just enough to pay off Peter's debt to the bank.

While in training, Patches, played by the hilarious Rip Torn, has some great lines. Patches says to Gordon, "You have to get angry. You have to get mean.", when he realizes the Gordon lacks a killer instinct. During training, Patches also makes each player run through traffic as a final dodgeball endurance test.

She is much taller than the other Girl Scouts in her troop and has very hairy arms and a mustache. When she starts crying, you can hear how deep her voice is. The officials found traces of a beaver tranquillizer in Bernice's blood and by default, Average Joe's wins and goes on to compete in Las Vegas.

Some other rules highlighted by Cotton and Pepper are "...dyslexic players will not be allowed on the court" and "...only ADAA balls will be used. Personal balls of any kind are strictly prohibited." The first game in the tournament is Team Blitzkrieg vs. Average Joe's. Just before they take the court, Owen tells the Average players that he designed new uniforms for them but when he opens the box to present them, his order had been mixed up with another's and the team is forced to play their first game in skimpy (and quite controversial) leather outfits.

It is anything but! The dancers are wearing skimpy costumes and dancing quite provocatively while Pepper watches with a big grin. Cotton, played by the very funny Gary Cole, also seems truly entertained as he describes what he is seeing to the viewers of ESPN-8 "The Ocho".

Other teams include inner city rappers, an S&M group and the Las Vegas Police Department. Team Blitzkrieg was led by David Hasselhoff. Actually, there are several other cameo roles in this movie, including Chuck Norris (he is a dodgeball judge) and Lance Armstrong (plays himself).

The Poughkeepsie State Flying Cougars to be exact. Patches' words echo to Gordon about getting angry and mean. When he sees his wife in the audience flirting with another man and his kids being ignored by her, Gordon finds his killer instinct and single-handedly defeats the Cougars - translating into a victory for Average Joe's and advancement in the tournament.

Answer: Guam

Joyce would not have missed the tournament for the world. Kate and Joyce are bisexual and in the Editor's Cut of the movie (not seen in theaters), Peter, Joyce and Kate all kiss and the three of them walk out of the tournament together, presumably to celebrate in style.

Answer: Yes

Amber yells "Justin, I love you!" during the finals and distracts him but Average Joe's obviously goes on to win. In the final scenes of the movie, when Peter is doing the commercial, all of the original Average Joe's dodgeball players are in the gym. Justin and Amber are holding hands but if you look closely, you may notice that Amber seems to be about 8 month pregnant. True puppy love!
