Throughout the movie Charlotte's friend actually wears a shirt that is similar to the one that Charlie Brown wears in the comic strip "Peanuts". This is the friend that Charlotte first introduces Bob to when they go out bar hopping.

"Brass in Pocket" by The Pretenders is a popular eighties tune. It's mostly recognizable by the line "I'm Special...so special". The song does not prominently feature the title in the lyrics.
