Robert Zemekis has also directed a few other movies in my collection: "Contact" and "Forrest Gump" to name a couple.

"The Fellowship of the Ring" was the first in the "Rings" trilogy. "The Two Towers" was the second and "The Return of the King" was the third.

Funtrivia player mindlessmonkey also reminded me that these two movies are also connected by Elijah Wood. He played Frodo in the "Rings" series, and had his first movie role in "Back to the Future: Part Two". He played one of the little kids playing video games in the Cafe 80s.
