It is its own story, although at the end it takes place during "RE2" and "RE3".

2. How many commandoes died in the laser room?

Four died. One, the medic, & two others.

3. How many times was Rain bitten?

Answer: 5

Once by the female zombie (between thumb and index finger), twice when trying to save J.D.(right arm), once in the hand in the sewers, and finally, once by zombie J.D. (neck).

4. How many of the group of ten got bitten by zombies?

Answer: 4

Rain (see above), Spencer (on the neck toward the end), Kaplan (in sewers claming pipe was bitten on the leg), and J.D. (zombies in behind locked door) were all bitten.

Rain, Spencer, and J.D. were the only ones out of the ten that turned.

During shooting of the sewer scene Milla right hooked Paul Anderson in the face giving him a big, black eye. By the end she hurt about 3 cast and crew members. Also The option, "Eric (Matt) got angry and punched him over yogurt" didn't happen, but how I came up with that was in the commentary on the DVD the cast made several jokes about Eric's diet of yogurt for his part.

Answer: True

After watching the movie carefully I noticed that the hand writing is completely different.

9. What is the name of the sequel to this film?

Answer: "Resident Evil: Apocalypse"

It will continue the story from the first movie, and add another story based on "RE3:Nemesis". The sequel will feature Jill Valentine. The original name was going to be "Resident Evil: Nemesis", but this was changed after the release of "Star Trek: Nemesis".

10. What is the date on the newspaper at the end?

The movies ending is set during the "RE2" and "RE3" games, however, the problem with this is that the games take place in 1998 not 2002.
