The movie starts out showing Shrek and Fiona's honeymoon and is about their trip to meet Fiona's parents.

2. Which of the following movies is NOT lampooned in "Shrek 2"?

Answer: Finding Nemo

One of the things that makes both of the "Shrek" movies so good is how they use and poke fun at other movies. They use the ring being forged scene from "The Fellowship of the Ring". They use the dancing furniture scene from "Beauty and the Beast". Mongo the giant gingerbread man uses the signature Godzilla sound. I was not able to find any "Finding Nemo" references in the movie.

3. Who provides the vocal talents for Fiona's father (King Harold)?

Answer: John Cleese

Cleese, the former Monty Python member, brilliantly voices Fiona's father, who is hiding a secret himself.

4. Who of the following was/were NOT left behind to house sit while Shrek and Fiona were gone from the swamp?

Answer: The Seven Dwarfs

These guys eventually rescue Shrek and Donkey. The rescue scene is the famous "Mission Impossible" scene, with Pinocchio using his strings to be suspended above the floor. It is also very funny that the Gingerbread Man's legs were re-attached with frosting. Remember that they were removed during a torture scene in the first movie.

Fiona's father had paid Puss in Boots to 'take care of' Shrek. He then asked Shrek to join him for a hunt in the woods. Shrek agreed, in an effort to smooth things over with his new father-in-law.

Answer: Antonio Banderas

Banderas was not in "Shrek" but after his performance I am sure that he will be in "Shrek 3".

7. What is the name of the city that Fiona's parents live in?

Answer: Far Far Away

This city is supposed to be the fairy tale version of Los Angeles. The animators even altered the signature Hollywood sign on the hill.

8. What is the name of the potion that Shrek and Donkey drink after they have stolen it from Fairy Godmother?

Answer: Happily Ever After

Shrek, Donkey and Puss in Boot steal this potion from Fairy Godmother's magic factory. The workers in the factory were very reminiscent of the Oompa Loompas from "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".

9. What is the name of the giant gingerbread man that helps Shrek to get into the castle?

Answer: Mongo

Shrek rides on the shoulder of this giant as they storm the castle. Sadly, Mongo seems to meet his end in the moat around the castle. There is a scene stolen from "E.T." when Mongo tells the regular sized gingerbread man to "be good".

10. What was wrong with Donkey's girlfriend, the dragon, from the first movie?

Answer: She was off having babies

One of the best scenes happened after the credits when the dragon showed up with several half-donkey and half-dragon babies.
