Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Finish this quote: "Here's my telephone number; call me, and to a party, a _______ party".

Answer: house

This is the first song on their first album, "40 oz to Freedom".
2. Which album was Sublime's first to be released?

Answer: " 40 oz to Freedom"

Everyone thinks it is "Robbin the Hood", but in actuality it is "40 oz to Freedom". I have no clue how this rumor was started. You can see the release dates if you don't believe me. "Robbin the Hood" was created first, but was not released until after "40 oz to Freedom". Thanks Bradsgirl83 for the info.
3. Who took over in the song "We're Only Gonna Die For our own Arrogance"?

Answer: Modern Man

Nothing really interesting to say. This just shows that a band can know a little about history. This is a cover of the Bad Religion song "We're Only Gonna Die".
4. Finish this lyric: "I'm aware of the high and the low, I've been waiting for you in the ________".

Answer: middle

This is from "I Saw Red", one of my favorites. The lady singer in this song is Gwen Stefani from the musical group No Doubt.
5. What year was "Robbin the Hood" released?

Answer: 1994

It was their second album, but it wasn't nearly as big as their other two. "40 oz to Freedom" was released in 1992, and "Sublime" was released in 1996.
6. What band did Eric and Bud form after Brad died?

Answer: " Long Beach dub Allstars"

Although they are not as big as "Sublime" got, they have a lot of the same qualities.
7. In which song does Bradley Nowell tell of his addiction to heroin?

Answer: " Poolshark"

"Now I've got the needle, and I can shake, but I can't breathe. Take it away but I want more and more, one day I'm gonna lose the war." He lost the war on May 25th, 1996. Chilling.
8. Finish this lyric: "and I would not lie to you, because Sunday ________ ______ _____ _________"

Answer: morning soon will come

Brad always sings about Sunday mornings. "The right kinda lovin' a Sunday morning" appears in several songs.
9. Which thing does Brad NOT mention in "Garden Grove"?

Answer: getting yelled at by the man

He says he gets hassled by the man, yelled at by his dad. This was kind of tricky.
10. Finish this lyric: "you can see it everyday, but your_____ ain't free"

Answer: freedom

This is in "Under my Voodoo", my least favorite Sublime song. You cannot understand what he is saying unless you strain to hear the lyrics.
