Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In what song is Lou Dog not involved?

Answer: Santeria

"Me and Louie run to the party" is from "Doin' Time"; and "Lou Dog went to the Moon" was created after Louie ran away for a week. It's available on the bootleg "Firecracker Lounge."
2. What lyric about Lou Dog is not in the song "What I Got"?

Answer: "We took this trip down to Garden Grove, it smelled like Lou Dog inside the van."

"We took this trip to Garden Grove..." is not from "What I Got", but can be found in the song "Garden Grove."
3. Where did Brad get turned on to Reggae?

Answer: The Virgin Islands

At age 11 Brad went with his dad to the Virgin Islands and really enjoyed reggae. When he came home, he got a guitar, mixed it with hip-hop and punk, and it was history in the making.
4. What girl was never mentioned in a Sublime song?

Answer: Troy

Betty is mentioned in "STP" off the "Robbin Da Hood" album. Janie is the girl who's always saying he's a mess in "Seed". And Annie is the girl doin' it the "Wrong Way". Troy is Brad's widow.
5. Finish the Lyric..."Two pints of booze, tell me are you a ___________ too?"

Answer: badfish

One of my favorite songs from the boys. There is also a tribute band called Badfish, among other tribute bands.
6. Brad and Troy's son has this name...

Answer: Jakob James Nowell

It's the same middle name as Brad, and Troy and Brad were married so he got Brad's last name.
7. Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh already had a band together, before Brad. What was this band's name?

Answer: The Juice Bros.

The Juice Bros were formed in 1979. Long Beach Dub All Stars was formed after Brad's death, in 1997. Hogan's Heroes was a band that Brad had before Sublime.
8. Similarities between Sublime and Nirvana do not include...

Answer: A Grateful Dead cover

"Scarlet Begonias" is by Sublime, and is a Grateful Dead cover. Nirvana covered bands, but GD was not one. Eyes Adrift members included Krist Noveselic and Bud Gaugh. Nirvana can mean transcendental happiness, and Sublime can mean transcended greatness.
9. "It's so nice, I wanna hear the same song twice..." is from what song?

Answer: Boss DJ

That's how I feel when I hear that song...oooeee girl. This song can be found on "Robbin the Hood" from 1994. The ramblings also found on this album are from a real mad man, Raleigh Theodore Sakers.
10. "You were sittin home watchin' your TV while I was participating in some _____"

Answer: anarchy

That's right...Anarchy!
The recorded police call in the opening of "April 29, 1992" is genuine, recorded by Miguel Happoldt from his neighbor's police scanner.
