Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many members does Breaking Benjamin have?

Answer: 4

The members include Ben Burnley, whom the band is named after, Aaron Fink, Mark James, and Chad Szeliga.
2. How was Breaking Benjamin formed?

Answer: The other members asked Ben to join after hearing him perform

Aaron Fink and Mark James actually left a band they were previously in that had landed a record deal to form Breaking Benjamin with Ben Burnley. Chad Szeliga joined the band last. They were so confident in his talents that they were willing to risk their careers. Luckily, the risk paid off.
3. What was the title of Breaking Benjamin's first single?

Answer: Polyamorous

The song premiered in 2002, and is off the band's debut CD "Saturate".
4. Who plays bass for the band?

Answer: Mark James

Chad is the drummer, while Aaron is the secondary guitarist. Jonathan Davis, of course, is the singer for Korn.
5. What famous singer collaborated with Ben to write some of the hit songs featured on the band's 2004 album, "We Are Not Alone"?

Answer: Billy Corgan

Although confident in his abilities, Ben accepted the guidance and advice of legendary Smashing Pumpkins singer/guitarist Billy Corgan. Together, they helped create new and creative music that elevated the band to a whole new level.
6. Which of the following songs is NOT from their second album "We Are Not Alone"?

Answer: Until The End

"Until the End" is actually off their third album "Phobia".
7. What song contains the lyrics "Cause you know it's over/Growing colder"

Answer: Next to Nothing

The song, although not released as a single, is off their debut album.
8. What record label does Breaking Benjamin belong to?

Answer: Hollywood Records

Geffen sponsors stars like Ashlee Simpson, while Arista launched Pink's stardom and Jive Records brought us bands like *NSYNC and Britney Spears.
9. What does Ben say his song "Breath" is about?

Answer: He doesn't analyze his lyrics, so they're open to interpretation

Ben Burnley says time and again when asked to interpret his songs that he does not clearly state what significance the lyrics have, so that fans can come up with their own ideas. According to him, if someone states their idea and he says that they are wrong, he can "ruin the meaning for them".
10. Finally, how did Breaking Benjamin first get "discovered"?

Answer: Their popularity in Wilkes-Barre clubs got the attention of record labels

Although Breaking Benjamin did send out demos, they first became popular locally, in their hometown of Wlikes-Barre. Eventually, their unique sound finally gained them the fame they had been looking for after the release of their debut CD in 2002.
