1. Whether it was during her band's rocking 70s stage or their pop-influenced resurrection in the 80s, this woman's voice was never in need of a "Magic Man." Who am I talking about? Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. She says her lips are sealed, but I know they really aren't. Whose lips you ask? I could tell you, but that would kind of defeat the purpose of a quiz. Can you go-go think about it for a minute and supply the correct answer? Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. There are some rumours going around that you are a fan of this next woman. I know you don't have much time, so you can go your own way right after you answer one question. Do you know who I am alluding to? Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. I can still remember being a young boy when my big brother let me listen to a soulful woman from the 60s in a Mercedes-Benz for the first time. From the clues listed, can you tell me who I heard on that day long ago? Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. A music career that lasted for over 50 years, a successful movie career, and a theme park which bears her name. Quite the impressive resume, but whose is it?

Answer: (First, last, or both names)
Question 6 of 10
6. It's no secret that heavy metal music is dominated by men. Due to the nature of the genre, it always will be. That doesn't mean that women are not allowed to share the stage with the boys. Sometimes, it is quite the contrary. Which female singer of Lacuna Coil was given the honor of dueting with a heavy metal giant? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. Having a number one song to a number one movie is a pretty big accomplishment. But, this one time, it was also a part of the band's demise. The song in question is Berlin's "Take My Breath Away" from the movie "Top Gun" starring Tom Cruise. Who was the singer of Berlin? Was it Terri Nunn?

Question 8 of 10
8. This next woman must have had a thing for Egyptians. She wanted everybody to walk like one. Who was she? Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. What happens when a woman is a member of an all girl band, gets famous, but is stuck playing second fiddle to another member of the band? Well, she goes out on her own and shows that other girl exactly how she does it. Don't run away just yet. Will you tell me who this woman was? Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. It is said that good things come in small packages. In this case, it is true. Which five foot tall woman (but with a voice that stands twice that height), who proclaimed that love is a battlefield am I referring to? Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Whether it was during her band's rocking 70s stage or their pop-influenced resurrection in the 80s, this woman's voice was never in need of a "Magic Man." Who am I talking about?

Answer: Ann Wilson

If there was a Mount Rushmore of female rock voices, Ann's would be front and center. It would be the George Washington. An interesting tidbit of trivia about Ann is that the magazine "Hit Parader" named her as one of the top heavy metal vocalists of all time. That is how good her voice is. She, nor her band, Heart, were ever metal, yet she was put on the list.
2. She says her lips are sealed, but I know they really aren't. Whose lips you ask? I could tell you, but that would kind of defeat the purpose of a quiz. Can you go-go think about it for a minute and supply the correct answer?

Answer: Belinda Carlisle

Belinda first hit it big with her band, The Go-Gos. They had two top ten albums in the states during the early 80s. That wasn't her only success as a musician though. She would strike gold with "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" in 1987. It reached number one in several countries including USA and the UK.
3. There are some rumours going around that you are a fan of this next woman. I know you don't have much time, so you can go your own way right after you answer one question. Do you know who I am alluding to?

Answer: Stevie Nicks

There is no doubt that Stevie is one of the most popular and influential singers, male or female, of all time. Her body of work which dates back to the 60s speaks for itself. From her mega-successful career with Fleetwood Mac, to her solo career, to her charity work, it is hard to find a better role model than Stevie.
4. I can still remember being a young boy when my big brother let me listen to a soulful woman from the 60s in a Mercedes-Benz for the first time. From the clues listed, can you tell me who I heard on that day long ago?

Answer: Janis Joplin

What can I say about Janis Joplin that you don't already know? She's on Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Artists Of All Time" and their "100 Greatest Singers Of All Time" lists. She is a member of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Her music is still loved and enjoyed by thousands upon thousands of people several decades after being released.

She is, was, and always will be an icon of the music industry.
5. A music career that lasted for over 50 years, a successful movie career, and a theme park which bears her name. Quite the impressive resume, but whose is it?

Answer: Dolly Parton

Dolly had already been recording music for a decade when she had her first number one song anywhere in the world with "Joshua" in 1970. It wouldn't be her last though. Turned out she would dominate the US Country Charts over the next two decades with 17 more number one songs on that chart.

Answer: Cristina Scabbia

Scabbia is in a class of her own. Absolutely gorgeous with a voice sent from above. It made sense that Megadeth tapped her to duet on "A Tout Le Monde."

Answer: Yes

Nunn loved the song and thought it opened them up to a much larger audience. The rest of the band didn't care for it because they didn't write it. Who was right and who was wrong here? I don't know, but I do know that they never could recreate the success that song gave them. That had to take a toll on the band.
8. This next woman must have had a thing for Egyptians. She wanted everybody to walk like one. Who was she?

Answer: Susanna Hoffs

The Bangles, led by Hoffs, were one of the biggest acts around during the 80s. They reached the big time with hits like "Manic Monday" and "Eternal Flame."
9. What happens when a woman is a member of an all girl band, gets famous, but is stuck playing second fiddle to another member of the band? Well, she goes out on her own and shows that other girl exactly how she does it. Don't run away just yet. Will you tell me who this woman was?

Answer: Lita Ford

Ford had moderate success as a member of The Runaways in the 70s. Nothing like her solo career in the 80s though. The Runaways didn't have any top 40 hits in the states. Lita had two, including a top ten hit which was her duet with metal god Ozzy Osbourne, "Close My Eyes Forever."
10. It is said that good things come in small packages. In this case, it is true. Which five foot tall woman (but with a voice that stands twice that height), who proclaimed that love is a battlefield am I referring to?

Answer: Pat Benatar

If I were to say that Pat was once accused of devil worship, would you believe me? I know it and I still can't believe it. All of it was over her song "Hell Is For Children." Any intelligent person could tell the song had nothing to do with anything involving the devil. It was a song about child abuse.
