George Virl Osmond was born in Star Valley on October 13th 1917. He met and married Olive May Davis, born May 4th 1925, on December 1st 1944 and together they raised nine children, eight boys and one girl.

In some countries they thought the title was drug related, whereas the brothers were making a statement against air pollution. This is supported by the picture on the album cover, with the boys being photographed in a scrap yard and the title, 'Crazy Horses', is formed by smoke billowing from factory chimneys.

Jay, drummer for the group, sang lead vocals on 'Crazy Horses', with his harsher, Rock and Roll voice ideal for the message the song is trying to get over.
