On June 13, 1970 "The Long and Winding Road" reached the top of the charts, remaining there for the weeks of June 20 as well. The album "Let It Be", and its recording, is said to have led the band to perform on the roof of the Apple Records building in what has been dubbed the "Rooftop Session".

The four titles listed here all topped the charts. "Hey Jude", released as a single, was in 1968, the longest single ever to top the British charts. It spent nine weeks at the top of the US charts.
