1. Which Irish League side did Danny Blanchflower once play for?

Answer: Glentoran

After playing for 'The Glens', he made a move to England where he played for Barnsley, Aston Villa and Tottenham. During his 12 years in the Northern Ireland side, Blanchflower made 56 appearances for his country, scoring two goals.
2. Prior to his move to England, Martin O'Neill played for which Irish League team?

Answer: Distillery

O'Neill then went on to play for Nottingham Forest, Norwich, Man City, and Notts County. He made 64 appearances for Northern Ireland, scoring 8 times. He has also had a management career worthy of note, previously managing Leicester and Glasgow Celtic among others.
3. Which Northern Irish club did famous World Cup goalscorer Gerry Armstrong play for?

Answer: Bangor City

Armstrong scored the only goal against the host nation Spain at World Cup 1982. He had also scored Northern Ireland's only goal in a 1-1 draw with Honduras in the previous game. Armstrong played for many clubs after leaving Bangor, including Tottenham, Watford and Real Mallorca.

7. Mal Donaghy played for Manchester United and Chelsea, but with whom did he start his playing career in Northern Ireland?

He moved from Larne to Luton in 1978, and then moved onto Old Trafford and then to Stamford Bridge, at both of which he shone. He represented Northern Ireland 91 times, the second highest cap holder after Pat Jennings.

George Best is considered by many to be up there with Pele and Maradona as one of the greatest players ever. His glory days came at Manchester United, where he was known as "The Fifth Beatle". His finest moment came when United won the European Cup in 1968.

Other clubs he played for include Fulham, Stockport, and Hibernian, he also played for numerous clubs in the USA. Best also played 37 internationals, scoring 9 times. Sadly, he passed away in 2005.
