Leeds won it in the 53rd minute with a Jones-Clarke combination, 1-0.
2. Brian Flynn, the pocketbook-sized midfielder, was signed in November 1977 from which club?

Answer: Burnley

Brian Flynn went back to Burnley in November 1982. He scored the winning goal at Old Trafford in 1981. It was the last time in the 20th century that Leeds had won in Manchester.

But he only lasted in the job 44 days, the offer of managing his native Scotland too good to resist. He collapsed after a crucial World Cup qualifier against Wales in Cardiff in 1985.

Jack Charlton went onto become National Manager of the Republic of Ireland. Allan Clarke managed Leeds from 1980 to 1982, and they got relegated. Eddie Gray took over in 1982 until 1985, and Billy Bremner was at the helm from 1985 to 1988.

A towering centre forward with missing front teeth, Jordan was signed as a replacement for the ageing Mick Jones. A very successful international for Scotland, he moved to Manchester United in January 1978. Mick Jones was signed from Sheffield United in September 1967 - he retired in 1975 after a 13 year career with Sheffield United and Leeds.
