Answer: Javelin and 80 metre hurdles

Mildred, known as 'Babe', won the javelin and the 80 metre hurdles both in Olympic records. She also won the silver in the high jump. She later became a famous golfer, playing under her married name of Zaharias.

Answer: India

India won their second consecutive hockey gold medal, but the U.S. finished with the bronze medal, their only medal in this sport during the 20th century. Japan won the silver.
