The Diamondbacks of Arizona was a beginning franchise team in 1998 who have continued to be more than a force to be reckoned with. They finished 5th in their division in their inaugural year, then won their division in their 2nd year, and then the World Series in their 4th year.
2. When Mark McGwire hit his 70 home runs in a season in 1998, who finished in the runner-up spot with 66?

Answer: Sammy Sosa

The right-handed Sosa hit 66 big ones in 1998 and was overshadowed by McGwire's 70 that season. Sosa also hit .308 with 198 hits.
3. Ty Cobb played 22 of his 24 seasons with which team?

Answer: Detroit Tigers

Cobb was a rookie in 1905 at the age of 18. He played the next 22 seasons with the Tigers before being traded to Connie Mack's Athletics.
