Atletico were founded in 1903 as Athletic Club. They merged with Aviacion Zaragoza in 1939 to become Athletic Aviacion de Madrid, before becoming Atletico in 1947. They won nine La Liga titles and the Copa del Rey nine times in the 20th century; and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1962.

Answer: Real Betis

Real Betis were founded in the city of Seville in 1907. Their title success of 1935 was not a sign of things to come as they spent the next few decades yo-yoing between the first, second and third divisions. They eventually won more silverware in 1977 when they defeated Athletic Bilbao on penalties in the final of the Copa del Rey.
