Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which race celebrates the Day of the Dead?

Answer: Brakiri

There is only one comet in the Brakiri solar system. It comes by about every 200 years, and very strange things have been known to happen on this night.
2. The Brakiri are nocturnal.

Answer: True

The Brakiri ambassador comments on this. This is the reason that the "day" of the dead actually takes place at night.
3. This intergalactic comedy team visits the station in this episode: ____ and _____.

Answer: Rebo Zooty

They are played by Penn and Teller.
4. Which of the following is a correct pairing of a live person and his/her ghostly visitor?

Answer: Londo - Adira Tyree

Adira was Londo's lover, a dancer whom we met in the first season and was poisoned by Mr. Morden in Season 3 when she was returning to visit Londo on Babylon 5.
5. G'Kar refuses to sleep in his quarters on the Day of the Dead because they fall within the part of the station designated as the Brakiri homeworld. Where does he sleep instead?

Answer: C&C

Lt. Corwin says it's a quiet night, so it's fine. Later, G'Kar seems to regret not staying in his quarters as he reflects on who might have visited him.
6. Mr. Morden advises Lennier that "You don't go to the dead for wisdom." Later, though, Morden does impart something to Lennier that could be considered wisdom - though it is not what Lennier wants to hear. What does he say?

Answer: "You will betray the Anla'shok."

Mr. Morden is quite prophetic, in fact. He hits the nail right on the head:

Morden: "Delenn does not love you as you love her and she never will."
Lennier: "I know that."
Morden: "No you don't."

He foreshadows Lennier's moment of betrayal:

Morden: "Do you like being a Ranger, Lennier? Would you like it better if I was to tell you that you will betray the Anla'shok?"
Lennier: "You're lying."
Morden: "I wish I were."

He also suggests that Lennier is not far from his own death:
Lennier: "At least you have shown me there is truly life beyond death."
Morden: "Not necessarily, but you'll find that out soon enough."
7. Dodger tells Garibaldi that any poem by what poet can be sung to the tune of "The Yellow Rose of Texas"?

Answer: Emily Dickenson

Garibaldi: "Yeah, look, weren't you meant to bring back, you know, arcane knowledge from beyond the veil?"

Dodger: "No. All the arcane knowledge I've got I pretty much started out with."

Garibaldi: "Such as?"

Dodger: "Such as... All right, capers? Those little things they put on pizzas? Pickled nasturtium buds. And... any Emily Dickenson poem can be sung to the tune of 'The Yellow Rose of Texas'."

Later, Garibaldi has relaxed considerably and agrees to give it a try, but the poem isn't actually by Dickenson:

"Because I could not wait for death, he kindly stopped for me..." And he laughs as he realizes it works.
8. Captain Lochley is visited by her old roommate, Zoe. How did Zoe die?

Answer: Suicide by intentional drug overdose

Slowly we learn that Lochley and Zoe were roommates, and that they did a lot of drugs. Lochley came home one day to find Zoe dead in their apartment. Lochley says she's always wanted to know - did Zoe do it on purpose? At first Zoe says she doesn't remember. Toward the end of the episode, though, she admits that she did do it on purpose:

"Lizzie, I do remember my death. I didn't want to hurt you, but... yeah. I did do it on purpose. I just couldn't go on. Don't hate me, OK?"
9. While Sheridan does not have any ghostly visitors as his quarters are outside the section of the station that Lochley sold to the Brakiri, Lochley does bring him a message, given to her by Zoe, to give to Sheridan. Who is it from?

Answer: Kosh

Lochley: "Oh, and speaking of mysteries, I have a message for you. It's from someone named Kosh."

Sheridan, looking surprised: "What's the message?"

Lochley: "When the long night comes, return to the end of the beginning."

Sheridan, still looking stunned: "Thank you, Captain. That will be all."

This is Kosh's way of telling Sheridan to return to Coriana 6 (where they won the Shadow War) at the end of his life. In the final episode of the series, we see him follow these instructions.
10. Sheridan gets his wish to hear Zooty speak without The Machine.

Answer: True

Earlier, Sheridan had been speaking with Reebo and said he would really like to hear Zooty speak without the machine. Reebo says there's little chance of that as Zooty never breaks character, even around his partner. In all the time he's known him, Reebo has only heard Zooty say one word: "Why?"

At the end of the episode, however, Sheridan gets his wish. As Reebo and Zooty are leaving, Zooty leans over and whispers into Sheridan's ear. We don't hear him, but Sheridan tells G'Kar that he said: "Because it tells me to."
